that's what I used - Tolco foaming sprayer with Sticky Gel, and was not impressed. Diablo I used with a regular sprayer, and it clings pretty well. At 3:1 it is still thicker consistensy then Sticky Gel neat. Diablo is almost like Jello, maybe dilluted 1:1. I'm serious, it is that thick!

Even at 4:1 it has some decent cling to it. Some people like it, some people dont like it alot. At full strength it is the consistency of melted chocolate almost.

One thing I would like to see improved would be that it stays in solutions better, it seems to "separate" kind of if left sitting for a bit. If you shake it up too much foam sometimes is created due to air bubbles thus I just swirls it around to mix it back up.

Don't forget to post a review in the Tools section please :) :applause2:

the 16 spoke wheels on my Audi love to gobble up lots of product due to the design. So less waste is always welcome in my garage :)

Guys, don't forget that Sticky Gel and Diablo Gel work differently!

Sticky Gel is designed to give you cling, but when you start spraying it on the wheel, some of it will run down because it's pulling the dirt off the wheel and removing it from the surface...Blackfire Gel Wheel & Tire Cleaner works like this as well.

Diablo Gel is designed to cling to the surface and pull the dirt off the wheel and into the oxygen pockets. And then you rinse the cleaner/dirt off together once finished brushing/agitating the wheel.

Either way, Sticky Gel has great cling even at 4:1. I mean 4:1 is only 6oz of Sticky Gel and 24oz water...so much water but still does a fine job for me. And I can spray it out of any spray bottle and sprayer and it works fine. No drama, great cleaning ability, great price, and it's very nice and sudsy so I can see where I've sprayed.

My beefs with Diablo Gel are that while at 3:1 and 4:1 it's very red/pink in the bottle, once I spray it, it comes out almost clear like water. And it seems to work best when spraying in a stream, otherwise a lot of sprayers have trouble sucking out the gel! I'm going to try it out again today at 2:1 and see what happens.

May sound dumb to bring up but make sure on the sprayer you do not have that strainer like cap on the end of the dip stick that goes into the bottle. That will make it harder to pull a gel out of the bottle. Like I said the p21s trigger sprayer sprays it at 3:1 no issue, and does a stream to a fan spray.

Interesting, I believe when I used my Tolco standard-issue red sprayers, I kept the stainers on them.

I used it yesterday at 2:1 with my Home Depot Spray Bottles with the Home Depot WHITE Sprayers and it worked great. Home Depot $1 spray bottles come with either an orange sprayer, which is crap, or a white sprayer which is great...white sprayer is very hard to find though.

Anyways, that sprayer seemed to spray Diablo out nicely at 2:1. I use these sprayers for my P21S Gel Wheel Cleaner so I knew it would work well. I still don't understand why Diablo doesn't strip off tire dressings at all. Either way, Diablo is a nice wheel cleaner but I don't understand why they charge $65 a gallon. That is just too much.

Just used Diablo today at 3:1. It did well and certainly a lot better than Sticky Wheel Gel, but nowhere as well as P21S Wheel Gel. For tough job I'll stick to P21S.

have yout tried leaving it on for at LEAST 15-20 minutes?

Yeah, I left it on for 15 minutes, which is as long as I leave the P21S so that I could make a fair comparison. It cleaned well, but from my experience, P21S cleaned a lot better.

wow, I leave it sit for a min then start going at it with a brush and have no issues. Wonder how must faster it would be if I left it for 10-15 min. huh, total wheel cleaning noob here, haha.

What is the purpose of letting the wheel cleaner dwell? Why not just spray it on and immediately start agitating?

To let it start breaking up the dust and grime. I do not let it sit more then a min or two as I just want to get it done with and have no issue using brushes to clean up the wheels.

That's exactly what I am confused about, why wait 10-15minutes before you start agitating it when you can start right away and finish much sooner. Maybe there's another purpose to dwell time and clingy wheel cleaner that I am not interpretting.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. You gotta follow the directions on the back of every bottle of wheel cleaner you use. P21S Gel can dwell up to 2 hours and is designed to provide controlled cleaning power....they say it on the bottle. Lightly soiled wheels can be cleaned immediately after application, and heavier soiled wheels should be left to dwell anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours, the longer the better. Some wheel cleaners only need 15-20 seconds. Extended dwell time, especially with an acidic wheel cleaner, will damage the rims.

When I tried letting Diablo dwell at 3:1 it just ended up drying up on the rims after 5 minutes. Both Diablo and Sticky Gel say to "allow time to clean." To me, that means a minute or two of dwell time before agitating.

Though I dont use these types of cleaners I understand the reasoning behind it. The whole point of a longer dwell time is to be able to use LESS agitation. While letting it dwell you can be doing some other type of work on the car.

I tried a sample of some p21s and though it worked, I couldnt help but think that regular soap, water and a mf would have done the job. I guess its good for really expensive rims but I have another wheel cleaner thats safe for all rims and costs a fraction of the price.

Soap & water isn't strong enough for wheels with really baked-on brake dust. If that were the case, we would all have a lot of extra $$$ in our pockets and a whole lot less products on our detailing shelves.

ill be honest...since using 2 coats of FK 1000P on my rims i haven't used any rim cleaner. Soap and water takes all the dirt and dust off pretty easily for me. I will be trying jetseal109 on my rims next after seeing a video somewhere on here where the person ran their finger across the rim and the dirt came off like nothing iv seen before.

only time i use rim cleaner now is on my friends cars im doing for the first time.

Try Optimum Ca r Wax. Spray on, wipe off, good protection, doesn't wear off due to heat.

I use Duragloss 501/105/AW combo on my wheels. Looks awesome, and clean super easy.

I don't use any dedicated wheel cleaner on maintained wheels.
