I haven't tried either one of them... Yeah, I know, I should of tried both... But anyway, what to you guys recommend??? I've been having my eye on that 5050/jetseal kit for a while (want that blue towel with red edges)...I've also heard great things about Lusso Oro... let's hear it, what would you get???
I know you are a big fan of Souveran and use it so, those two probably wont impress you. The Lusso to me is close, but 5050 isnt anything special.
Oro is AWESOME! I haven't used 5050 but have used Pete's 53 and really like that. I have been told there's not a ton of difference between Pete's and 5050 so I would say go with Oro and Pete's if you want the CGs wax.
I have to say that the beading of the Pete's is a lot more wicked than the Lusso beading! BUT, the Lusso is easier to use and I'm not getting ANY hazing!!! So... I have both!!!
How do you like Pete's 53??? I have quite a bit of waxes, and don't wanna try too many at once... Is Lusso Oro suppose to be applied by hand??? what kind of beading it give you??? Or perhaps a little sheeting???
I have not used Lusso ..but have used 50/50 and Petes....and to me they are both nice waxes..Petes just beads so nice ..rain just flies off...to me its best used on dark solids and metal flakes....it does them justice.. 50/50 is another good looker...50/50 has a deeper look than Petes .since Petes is a wax polymer combo product and 50/50 is a wax product...again..beads great..best on dark solids and metal flakes.....they do look good on light colors also..but they show the true looks on dark solid and metal flakes...also yellows... Al
I also have not tried Lusso but I use 50/50 all the time and really like it. It's also very easy to work with.
They are both very nice, you will be please with either nuba... I like DWG topped with 5050 and I like the Lusso Revitalizing creme topped with the oro...
I apply the Oro by hand with a foam applicator, same as I do with the Pete's '53. The beading on the Oro isn't as perky as with the Pete's. The latter REALLY beads like an insane man, driving in a rainstorm will leave your vehicle absolutely DRY! Lusso just isn't quite there yet...
Well I have Lusso and 50/50... and they are both great waxes.... Lusso is like a mini-me version of souveran, not as much depth but more durability... almost like maxwax, but better. I have tried 50/50 that much, but used on a single stage red and gave alot of depth and richness to the paint, i don't think one out weighs the other, cause they both have different applications to colors. I applied both my machine btw and they look fantastic
I used the Lusso on my hood and one side panel. I personally thought it went on easy, came off easy, was a little surprised to see lack of outstanding shine, but i did whats recommended on the jar, and applied 2 light coats, that brought the shine up, i followed with Danase glaze, and that brought out the shine that much more. My car is a non clear coat paint, and i've noticed when i layer on a nuba, i get more dramatic results. So maybe layering is the way to go? In all fairness, the temp. conditions where not idea, mid 40's, so i may be a little premature in this analysis. I'll have to wait till the temp rises to do a more accurate appraisal. I got this product and i was just chomping at the bit to do a little sample run, damn, being compulsive can be a pain sometimes.:crasy:
i've got and used both pete's and 50/50 and like 50/50 just a little better, that's not a knock on pete's, as a matter of fact i just did a spit shine on my car with pete's and it came out great, but 50/50 to me is wetter imho. two waxes that i do want to try is lusso oro and bos.
I think you should have applied the Danase Glaze first and then applied the Lusso Oro on top of it. I suspect solvents in the glaze may have removed the wax.
