How many of you guys use car covers?? I'm worried about scratches with this thing. Anybody have any advice on them??? Heath
I have Duststops for both of my cars. The fit is awesome and theyre super soft. Im not worried about scratching because they are inside so the wind wont make them move on the paint. Whatever you do dont cheap out on your cover.....
I cover my cars up in that are garaged and not my dailey drivers. If it's a soft cover and in the garage you won't have a problem. I use to cover my truck that was sitting out side and not used much. It did get some very lite scratches from the wind blowing the cover around. At least it was protected from the sun and bird crap so there's a trade off if it's outside. I would definitely pay the extra money and get a cover that's fitted to car.
I have a covercraft Noah cover for my black Dakota. The thing is so huge (the truck and the cover) that it is a pain to put on by myself. There is no way to get it on without sliding against the paint at some point and it fits fairly snugly. But, it does cause scratches on the paint just because it does get dusty I have yet to polish this year so I will find out if they come out but it looks like they will. My truck was painted last summer but it is not a DD so I want to protect it since it is parked outside under a pine tree so I have to accept some scratches for overall protection.
