i may get the xti. for $599.

looked at the xt but they are hard to find right now with it being EOL

 

The XTi is a better camera, but with the XT going EOL, there are bargains to be done!

 

there a new one. Rebel XSi. It has a better lense.. it has Image stabilizer.

True true, but it comes at its own price point. I thought the above might be a good price for some to get into the world of DSRL. I myself own one and have had great success with it.

The D40 is a fine camera. However, it created a bit of a stir amongst Nikon users as it's the only camera in their line-up that is NOT compatible with all of their available lenses.

i have a Xti i love it! i need a better lense one day...

only thing is the autofocus sucks...

 

Is that because of the camera or the lens? What lens are you using?
