I am not good at taking photo's, was wondering if you can get me started. I have a Fuji S700 and use it on auto mode, I see some of your pictures of a detailed car and am impressed. I have would like basic settings on 3 situations, I realize there are many variables but just the basic. Picture of car in bright sunlight. Picture of car on an overcast day. And finally picture of car in a garage with florecent and halogen light. Need to know where to start with some of the basic settings you would recommend. Thanks
ooh good questions there PTJD, wish I could help but I'm still learning and I got lots to learn...um..but I'll share this, hopefully it helps. I have a XTi Rebel and for majority of the time I use the "P" setting it has, it's quite good for any type of lighting..but like I said I'm no pro..but I'm intersted to see what feed back you get, so come on folks start sharing please opcorn: opcorn:
Um..well there is the stock lense that came with the camera and this one: Only two lense I got so far but I got my eyes on a new one, not sure if I'll purhcase it though..I should learn how to use the two lense I currently have before I purchase another one..and let me tell you I'm no where close mastering these two
sorry for the delayed answer.... 1st off i would say read this ... DCRP Review: Fuji FinePix S700 second... not being really familiar with the camera..but i have used it a couple times i can give you a little info when shooting in bright sun light ..always shoot as the lowest ISO possible ..this will give you the most crisp picture possible...now about blowing something out.. the camera has a manual mode... M (mode) it is really important to get familiar with this mode, this gives you total contol of your subject.. aslo if you have to ...to get the background not blown out...u might have to use a little flash...set your aperature and shutter speed accordingly to make the background exposed correctly...when you have that..you can then throw a little fill flash on the subject to brighten it up.. if it is an overcast day ..it will be a little easier to shoot and you could get away with aperature mode AV (mode) the aperature is a small hole that lets a certain amount of light in...this also lets you control the depth of field ....(what is in focus and not in focus) if you are shooting with diffrent lights you can change your white balance ... this will change the color tempature (kelvin) to adjust to the white balance also it is nice to use a tripod in a garage to get crisp shots.... just read as many reviews as you can and practice with Manual mode to really get to know your camera -Scott :mounty:
