I would actually recommend the 5.5 inch pads over the 6.5 inch pads. They offer more control and they can get into tighter areas than the larger 6.5". You will save about ten bucks too.

And yes, the PC 7242 is hook and loop (aka Velcro - which is a trademarked name).
