I think everyone should put what kind of camera they are using in thier write-ups also. We share everything else about the job! It'll give us an idea to the quality of the camera in our direct field of use.
I shoot with a Nikon D80. I shoot in Aperture mode and just adjust the exposure accordingly. Nothing special!!

Unfortunately, a lot of photo hosts (not all, though) strip the EXIF data. 04COBRA's photos don't have it. Anything I have put up also is missing the info.
The difference between good shots and great slots is often just the exposure. With digital, you do not know how much Photoshop has been done either. Great shots usually have contrast to make them pop and this can be added later with the unsharp mask and other contrast tweaks. My tip is just pay attention to the exposure by knowing how your camera reads light (spot, average, weighted) and bracket your exposures (take multiple with various exposure settings). No need to worry about wasted bytes.
I shoot with a Canon 20D w/ battery grip and a bunch of different lenses: 24-105 f4L IS 70-200 f2.8L IS 35 f1.4L (prob. my favorite) 100 f2.8 macro 50 f1.4 17-85 f4-5.6 IS (for sale) Also have a Canon G9 I have been using occasionally when I need something more compact. Usually shoot in manual. If lighting is changing quickly I will switch to aperture priority. I always shoot in RAW. I'll try to put camera setting up with my photos, if I can.
I have too DSLR cameras. One Canon 350D and one Canon 40D. All my pictures shots in raw an editing goes inn Adobe Lightroom. I also have three outher compactcameras for easy use. Camera is one thing, but the lens is also inportant! A good allround lens with IS, is must. The kit-lens that comes with most of the cameras is just garbage.
Yesterday I bought an Nikon D70 body with a Nikkor 18-70mm lense. I'm totally a n00b at photography but I want to learn how to make decent shots. My cousin's a pro so he will give me a good one day course so that'll give me a jump start . Can't wait to start out

brian, i'm drooling over your lenses hahaha. I have a Canon 1Ds but I don't have any great lenses to support it. I'm just using a 28-135 which gives me a nice wide but a fairly limited zoom. I must say though, having gone from the 20D to the 1Ds I saw the quality difference almost immediately. I wish I had your lenses hahaha.
haha... and I wish I had your 1Ds! I decided to invest in good glass because lenses hold their value very well. I sold my 70-200 f4L a few months back for 90% of purchase price after two years of use (I keep all of my equipment in perfect condition). I don't NEED most of the advanced features of the pro bodies, but they sure would be nice! I will likely upgrade to a 5D Mark II when and if it comes out.
Yeah I only took the plunge for the 1Ds because, 1. My 20D and gear got stolen and 2. I found someone selling it for 1000 and I knew I wasn't going to find it anywhere else for that cheap with the lens and battery. You're right though, good glass hardly gets any cheaper. I wish I had the $ for some lenses. I find myself extremely limited when I try to shoot events. I guess that's why my camera has just been sitting here not seeing any action.

$1k is a good price. I would love to have the 1 series focus system for sports/action. Some day... No problem. Its frustrating sometimes. I use smugmug as a host and on my actual site all of the exif is there. Unfortunately on the small, med. and large resized versions they have available for sharing the EXIF is stripped. Wish they would leave it in.
