There is not really too much concern over the wax itself. The fact that he used his "PhD" as a selling point is the concern. What he did is technically "Theft by deception". He touted himself as an educated engineer and chemical expert. He posted about his false credentials to lull people into a sense of security, "well if he is a PhD, he must know what he is doing", and then he sprung a slightly reworked CG 50/50 product on them for 500% markup. The sad thing to me, is if he would have not gone the route of lying about his credentials, and simply said, "Hey I reformulated a great wax" and not charged the 500% he would have sold plenty!

Oh, and not to worry about my friend getting pinched for allocation of govt resources, all the info he is gathering is in the public domain and available to anyone. He just knows how to get it all, whereas I do not.

 

Thats fine. I would hate to see your friend jammed up for something as silly as a jar of wax. An individual in in my office was fired this year for reasons similar to this.

 

This thread is a great example on how everyone should take great care as to who they trust on the internet. They are a lot of good people here, but obviously the bad seeds mingle amongst us.

I am sorry that some of us got burned by this scumbag. Karma will have its ways.
