Even if he admits he doesn't have a PhD, I wouldn't buy his wax. I can get what he's selling for a lot less by buying what he's repackaging - CG 5050 or JaxWax.

I had a feeling something was up when he wouldnt give out free samples. Thought that was a little odd for someone just getting into it.

Wooah, cowboy, I just saw this from another site. I am Command Sergeant Major Dan Elder, and that is my picture. I hope the mod is looking at this and can verify IP addresses, I make no secret about my name, my location, my web address, and my service in the military.

I participated in asking phantomGTO06 about his education credentials based on information available on the internet on one site, but that was it. And I have better things to do than follow him around on other sites to continue the chase.

I dont claim to, nor challenge, anything about his wax. I do not claim any expertise or understanding of wax or its properties.

I would ask that the Admin verify IP addresses are not the same between mine and anyone I am accused of secretly being, then remove my official government photo from the posting once confirmed. Mod, I will gladly provide personal contact info for me to clarify, along with with number to my Command Counsel to discuss use of this picture in a commercial setting.

I have not, and will not, be a part of this, so please leave me and my personal details out of this discussion.

I was going to purchase some waxes from Jason before I came across this thread. We had been e-mailing back and forth and, until a few days ago, I had decided to give his products a try. (Before ordering Zymol Vintage)

I must first state that I am not an expert detailer (like many of you) but I have tried many waxes CG 50/50, Petes 53, Souveran, Paste Glaz, Signature II, Meguiars 16 (I've even recently ordered DoDo DBl wax) I enjoy keeping the DD cars in as good a shape as humanly possible.

I found this site a few weeks ago from a post on , I believe, Autopia. I read this site, AG, Autopia, DW and Meguiars almost daily to learn and absorb info. As all of us know keeping our cars up is almost OCD.

I have read with interest the accusations, name calling, insinuations etc thrown at Jason. Whether they have a basis in fact, I certainly don't claim to know.

What I do know (in conversation with him in the last hour or so) is that he seems to be a very forthcoming, knowledgeable person about the wax area. He does seem to have pride in his products and may even have made some pretty good waxes.

I personally could care less if he has a PHD (hell Bill Gates never graduated college, I think he is pretty good in his field). All I care about is.... does he make a good wax? To that end I am going to order some and try it. To some that may seem foolish:badidea: but I have read nothing that said the waxes are bad. (yes I am paying full price with no discount asked or offered, just in case anyone wants to know.)

Most here have stated they have never tried CG products etc. (If you have tried Jason's wax and CG 50/50 and they are the same...please speak up. ) I may be naive BUT I truly believe he has knowledge and some good waxes. The only way for me to find out for certain is to try them just like I've tried others.

A final thought. Why would someone "scam" in order to make a little money off car waxes. The total dollar amount, IMHO, doesn't seem to be worth it

Did you not read where he said, "My profit has far exceeded my layout to this point"? That is more than "making a little money off car waxes". Difference between Jason and Bill Gates, Bill Gates never lied and said he had a PhD and had years of experience. Jason did.

 

The GTO people are accusing him of reselling a $10 and $25 wax...here CG 50/50 .....whats the truth?

Of course his profit has exceded his layout...it wouldn't be a profit if it had not it would only be revenues. Do you think Pinnacles profit doesn't GREATLY excede its outlay...how about CG or Zymol?

The expense of trying is worth the knowledge since NO ONE seems to have any facts attacking the waxes cred. My question is ...Is the wax any good and worth the price? Whether someone lied or exaggerated their DOCUMENTED expertise...I could care less. He may be knowledgeable about this area. Do we know for a fact that he is not?

If I was going to drop the $2000 on refillable Zymol Vintage whats an extra $250 for knowing?
