20x40 hrmm. Looks like it might be a similar towel to what WCDetail carries, though theirs are blue.

And it's a favorite towel of mine because it does REAL well picking up water for how light/compact it is. (It's not all ultra thick or anything).

Picked up 4 for $20 this weekend with free shipping. (I have some from 08, same deal back then)

Could anyone clear up when they mean pakshak ww and showroom fx ww. On pak shak they have the ww and then a ultrasoft ww. On showrooms website they have two ww but just checking if there the same. Which are the ones everyone is talking about.

Pakshak's reg or ultra soft are both great. The ultra soft is easier to wring out.

I had inquired about the towels from Ranney. His comments:

    1. ultra-soft waffle weave towels are thinner so they feel slightly softer
    2. ultra-soft waffle weave towels are more pliable compare to the non-ultra soft/regular waffle weave towels
    3. ultra-soft waffle weave towels absorbs liquid at a faster rate than the non-ultra soft/regular waffle weave towels but absorbs less liquid by volume

As far as I can tell, the Pakshak WWs are identical to the ones from DI (of which I have 2, and they are very nice). Haven't used the ShowroomFX ones but for that price and w/the high praise, I may have to pick up a few to compare.

I bought a bunch of SFX Glass Cleaning Cloths and I really hated them. Once I received mine and tried them out I realized why they were so cheap so they went straight to the garbage.

I hope that the SFX big white drying towels are a good value and are as good as you guys say, because I am still skeptical and I am currently not willing to try any more of their towels.

I'm going to order a Turtle Wax ICE Waffle Weave Drying Towel (20x40) or maybe pickup a DD Uber Waffle Weave Drying Towel from Phil tomorrow. Or maybe both, who knows.

I have equally negative feelings towards all of the AG microfiber towels. Poor quality as of late and all the plush towels I have bought from them still lint like crazy after dozens of washes.

I will say that you will be extremely happy with the Showroom FX WW drying towel; I bought two on a whim since there were so many positive reviews here and it is now the only thing I use to dry a car. I can dry a medium sized SUV without any damp streaks or having to wring the towel out and it doesn't marr even my car's soft black paint.

Griot's WW MF is the best drying towel I've ever used. I believe it's 25x36, and it has pockets on each corner for your hands. It just seems to make drying easier that way.

Thanks for the reply, christian. I will have to tack on one or two on my next SFX order. :thumb:

Sorry to resurrect a 4 months old thread, but showroom FX 20x40 WW towels are on sale now, 8.99 each.

There is also the "Big Blue" WW's from PAC. They absorb a ton of water and are very soft. I have 6 and I love them, best ww I've used yet.

    Here's the link:

    Microfiber Drying Towel

I had to google it, as I couldn't find any direct links to it on the site either.

I ordered some last week, and got an email from Steve telling me that they are on backorder. He contacted the supplier and said he'd get back to me when he heard anything. I'll let you all know when he does.
