so my parent live on a street with a tyon of constuction. There house is 3000sqft and fits the lot well. on one side a 6000sqft one is up and on the other a 5000sq is being built. Justin can vouch these things are monster homes. So the 6000 sqft home hasnt been THAT bad, they have woken the family up a few times but for themost part they mid there own. Well the other side..... im actully so mad im shaking right now... they have stoped trafic, ruined a green, put cracks in out walls, arguing theres nhting wronf. Also my folks live on a lake. They NEED a fence. pleople come in other wise, so they tear the old fence, fine bt they also tear down the part with the gate on our property... so no fence. So she tells them nicley they need to put one up (which they promised would be up 2 months ago) so what do they do? put up one of those blue constuction fence. Imleaving as its going up and say they cant leave t lke that. Its notwhat we want. I go get my mom (as its her house) she goes thats not what want but w.e it wil do. Ok fine. well it has a hinge so w.e it will do. LAST STRAW. I go no it wont. So a side note.. these people have lied about how long everything has taken, wrecked one side of the yard, come on out propperty with bob cats.. my mom is trying to be nice. My dad just stays at work til like 10 so he dosent have to see it the guy starts to argue with me, well screw that no-one and i mean no-one messes with my family, esp my mom. I start freaking out at him, Im calling him a liar telling him to build a real fence.... all heh as to say.. the ground is to frozen. :catfight: Im pissed now..I tell him it was to be done 2 months ago and hes a liar. He has to melt the ground (which can be done, its expensive but i dont give a shit, hes building a 4-5mill home) im calling him out, he just looks at me like a dear in the head lights... my momgets me in ... i go hes just lucky it wasnt dad, she goes yeah. but atleast they know we are mad.. i was epxcting a lexture.. niope just a well now he knows. Im livid... i have beat the crap outa the punching bag, yelled, screamed... (no its not a temper tantrum im just livid) normlay i dont care, i dont get that mad... but he took advantage of my moms good nature... ARG... i dont htink i am, but i may be inthe wrong.... I cant wait till i go sit there with a lawchair and a cigar and make sure no-one walks on my folks land... thats criminal tresspass after all... i tried to be a good niegbour but they decided to take that to hel well thanks for the vent end rant
HAHAHAHAHAHA ohhhh mike.....this is simply beyond hillarity to me now. These houses are beyond goddy for the size of the lot. The one is by FAR too big for the lot...to the point of it not being within city guidelines....my dad has no idea how it got by city planners. From not on I honestly think it's time you call the police bro. They come on your land, they destroy your property...well poop on 'em, they have had their chance to be within reason and they take your moms good nature for granted. It's time they learn their lesson and get their acts in gear, and to let them know that there are criminal charges pressed if they come on your lot or destroy anything else. PS You know where I'm at the next time they pull this...I'm only 2 min away and you KNOW I have no problem dealing with this stuff:boxing:
It sucks to have to go through crap like that. All you want is to not have your shiat damaged. A fence can be put up no matter how frozen the ground is. I actually find the auger makes a better cut when the ground is frozen and the posts set better. Remember, yelling, screaming and threatening wont do nothing. Proper action will, make some phone calls and show them you are serious.
You should set up a video camera so you can have some nice proof that they're messing with your family's property...man I agree with crossroads take it to the police. No one deserves to have their property messed with.
i agree its time to end the talk, i will be calling the city tom and launching a complaint. At this point im sick of him and his house... like realy who needs a 5000sqft house on a tiny lot... on one side he cant even take a lawnmower, not enough room... arg i hate people
phone the police and file a report with them too. A. for property damage, B. for unlawful trespassing, and C. when they come out to investigate, they will see other damages caused by the contractor and then they are REALLY into it. THEN call the city as you've said and launch a complaint, THEN call the BBB and launch a complaint with the builder there. There was something else I had come up with but I've had a little brain fart. Its a good start though
I plan on going and taking tons of pics tommorow. I will have photo evidence, Then im calling the city, if its cleaned up I will be sending in the photos. I know thy have used all there warnings so this is fine time. If that dosent work we can kick it up a notch
my mother is the nicest person you will ever meet. I dont think she knows the word no. They have taken advantage of this. so my my mom decided to do the back yard, the guy doing it borrwed the bob cat for a day (jnothing to do with us asking we had no prob letting them do it by hand) so the forman is over looking at the damage (whole sdie of house needs tobe presure washed, resoded and sprinkles replaced) my mom goes we are being really nice.. guees what the guy says.. well we are helping you to remeber that.... strike 2... i keep my mouth shut.. then this today.. i went off. I will admit it, im a mumma's boy and no no problem with it... when they take advantage of her then make it look they are being nice i draw the line. im so torn.. what do i do? Ok i yelled at the guy and will call bylaw. But do i go farther? Do i call the cops andfor them to press charges (in canada citizensdont press charges the crown does). The probelm is not the hassel is that my parents still have to live next to them.. i think i wil leae it at bylaw for now,,, if it get worse then i will escilate it.. i just dont want to casue more problems for my parents... :catfight:
Good man, Mike. I'll be calling bylaw tomorrow too, I just went for a walk past the house and I couldn't even use the walk with all that machinery there....has to be something that can be done about that one. I say keep your cool, if they push it further, then you really give it hell
qucik update. so my mom comes home today to find a big backho working on our side walk. She goes over and asks what he is doing.. he says filling in the side to build a fence.. she goes well you said nomore equipment he says no i never said that.. she goes well its my property so you have to ask.. they thenpark half the machine on my folks yard. so i go over to see how this fence is comming.. well the forman is there.. he comes over all buddy buddy asking about what im upto tonight, i give one word awsners, i have no desire to talk to him he goes i hear you mad, i say yeah im sick you you takeing advatage of my om, comming on our yard (like with the tractor) he goes we asked. i said sorry bu ti hae already talkd to my mom. your liying.. im sick of you lieing to me and my family well hegoes how did we lie... i say you said the fence would be one 2 months ago, you give us dates and dont hold to it. He says well its the guys, they say something you need to double it. I said then double it,.. dont lie to my face.. well its the industry. I say hey i didnt ask to renovtae, we did not say hey come on and us our land. Dont **** with us. (sorry for the launge im pissed at this point) i went i already told the ownerhow i feel.. he says well you can talk to people like that it doesnt get anything done.
