For some people it's worth it, for other's it's not. If you can afford it, then why not? You are not saying your wax is better than anyone else's.

I agree with of the posts here. I have never had to defend the products I use, just tired of seeing all of the hate on products.

I guess its just the difference between this board and autopia. Here people are more open minded or have more experience with the higher waxes.

Seems like over there, every thread containing high end waxes turns into a war.

If your a wax conosur then for sure why not! but if you are one of these im the best because i use the best (best for some reason = expensive) well thats just sad. Does anyone have and i think its zymol (umm hard to discribe) but you have to mix it with a golden spoon hehe i thought that was cool.

There are a lot of people that say that but I am not one of them. I may agree with "You pay for what you get."

I am one of those that has tried an upper end Zymol product. I am glad that I did not purchase the product with my money. For my results did not improve nor detract from the paint to that which it was applied. If someone else purchased, applied, and then found that what ever high end product(you choose the wax and cost) produced a proportionately better shine and protection than any OTC product than I am happy for them. That was not my experience so I do not want to spend money on a wax that does not produce results that aren't significantly better.

I do not believe that a wax that costs, let us say 1500 dollars, is going to produce a shine that is 100 times better than a 15 dollar OTC product. Is that knocking Zymol? No I do not think so. I would rather spend my money on 100's of MF towels, detailing machines, pads, clay, aprons, pails with grit guards, and what ever knew product comes to the fore.

I believe you get what you pay for. I've seen people say that most of the price is profit etc, but then how would they even know that? Even if it takes only a percentage of the price to "make" the wax, the time spent on research and development may be part of that price. Those naysayers can say what they want, unless they've tried it and hate it still..

What is a high end wax? Is it Pinnacle Souveran or do you have to spend over 100 bucks for something like Zymol Concours or Swissvax Concorso? For some it may be a 40 dollar tub of Orso Lusso?

I have always said it is 85% your prep work which does not cost you anything but time and 15% your LSP. I think you are paying for more than just a wax, it is the entire experience that you have to factor in such as the scent, look, how the car cleans up or beads. It may be very suttle differences but obviously it is very important to some people or these wax companies like Zymol, Swissvax or Pinnacle would not be in business.

Not surprising. Unless AG sells it, Killr will hate it. He has the most biased opinions.

AG used to sell Zymol! I wonder what the topics would of been if they still did? I actually really wished they did bring it back.

He does love Zaino ya know
