Look what just came in the mail today. One is from Ben and another from Tropi-Care: A couple of Wookies and a gallon of the famous Tropi Care "White Pearl" Tire/Trim Dressing. These Wookies are freaking huge and soft. Next to my stereo Next to a Merino and a Lambswool Wash Mitt (both from RB). Off I go to wash my car with one of these Wookies.
I wanna buy one, cut out two eye holes and put it over my head. But in all seriousness, let us know how you like them, they look awesome.
Haha! I had the same thought as I felt those suckers. I looked at my shutters and was really tempted to dust them with it. I just used it to wash my car and I did like it, but I still prefer the RB Merino. The Wookie held tons of suds, but did not spread it as well as the Merino. It did feel soft on the paint, but I did not feel it gliding as easily as the Merino perhaps because of the extremely long nap, which also resulted in some of it getting caught around edges and emblems. Another possible reason for it not feeling as smooth on the paint as the Merino is the large size, which makes it a bit difficult to maneuver. A big plus is that it cut down on the wash time. Definitely a keeper. I will probably be reaching for both the Wookie and the Merino. It could be that I need to use it more times to get more comfortable with it.
I just tried the lambswool mitt tonight, great wash media for sure...effortless gliding..i think there comes a point where wash media can be too big and counterproductive.
I agree. It is like super thick and fluffy MF's that are just so thick that they are too grabby and not as effective. Don't get me wrong, the wookies are nice, but I wouldn't mind trimming those suckers a bit, although I must confess that I did find myself petting my wookie today. :giggle:
lol...yeah those things look really cool. I bought 2 lambswool mitts and need to try the merino mitt...which do you like better Luis? How did you like the lambswool one?
I really like both, but the Merino is definitely my favorite. That thing is super soft and it just glides across the paint. Also, because the Merinos are white, you can see all the grime and dirt on it, making it easier to make sure it is clean after you rinse it. The lambswool is also very cool and soft, though not as soft as the Merino. For bigger jobs I always reach for the lambswool because it is much bigger, but not to the point where it can be a bit of a hindrance like the wookies. You have to try the Merino, you will love that thing, I only wish it had a bit of a thicker nap, but it is still my favorite.
The Tropi Care is freaking amazing. It is now my favorite tire dressing. I just can't stop petting my Wookies.
