I got a call from a friend of mine a while ago. He has this friend who had a truck repainted and wanted a quick polish so he could sell it. He dropped it off when I wasn't there (smart on his part ). You'll see why momentarily. But, I could have it for a few weeks to pick away at it. As I got into it, it became apparent that this would be no easy task. To put it mildly, the paint was F%$T!! Great vehicle for a test. As you go through the pics, keep in the back of your mind that ALL the correction work on this truck was done with Menz Power Finish and Megs, Menz and 3M Compounding pads. That is all. No finishing pads or polish were used. Unfortunately not every defect could be removed. The truck was painted and sanded/polished quite a while ago by some one who probably shouldn't have, and now the clear had cured with all the sanding marks in it. LSP was Optimum Spray Wax. As mentioned in a previous write up, air sickness bags are located in the seat back in front of you. Please post any comments on this one, good or bad. Enjoy.
Wow! :yikes:. That was some crazy work you did right there Ken! Hard to believe you only used 1 polish too. Thats pretty cool man :worship2:
That is dam nice work there Ken...wow, powerfinish is some crazy stuff! You finished down incredible considering your circumstances :worship2:
Ken thats insane! Great detail, makes me even more excited for when I go over for a visit! The Ford looks awesome, I really like the flames off the F O R D on the back.
Ugh, that finish was disgustingly bad! However, you did some great work to get it back to how it should have been Ken! Great job!
Unreal turnaround, wow!!! Actually, those last pics make the truck look like it got a $10K paint job!
Nice work! I'm working on a Ford F250 as we speak, that has trashed paint as well. Hopefully the one I'm working on comes out that nice.
Amazing turnaround, Ken! Unbelievable. Also unbelievable that a body shop would let it off their lot in that condition. Great work!
Nice detail. For what it was you made it look great. I can't believe some of your turn arounds...WOW...:thumb::thumb::thumb:
did you pay for your new house with that detail? jesus christ, that thing was destined for the scrap yard before you came along. brilliant turnaround.
Wow what's with body shops producing some shady craftsmanship they aren't cheap to say the least and some perform extremely poor  Great turn around there Ken :thumb: That reminds me I need to get some more Meg's pads, just like how they feel, thanks for sharing eace:
Incredible work Ken, just stunning what you can do. Only bad thing about it is when he tells someone it was recently painted and they ask where and he tells them the person will think it rolled out of the body shop looking like that. You need to make sure the owner puts a disclaimer about how you repaired the body shops work to make it look like a piece of art instead of a piece of crap! Whoever painted those flames though has some talent.
