I just applied it to my GTI's windshield...and at lower speeds (55 and below) at least, the water didn't roll off enough for me to turn off the wipers. With the wipers on, it streaked so when other cars drove by with their lights on the glass became semi-opaque and I had trouble seeing. Did I do something wrong? I tried Rain-X on it last year, and had the same problem.

I use 845 on my windows all the time, and I have only had a problem with streaking once. Now I make sure to put a very thin layer on, let it sit for 10 minutes and come back and buff it off. Unless I'm driving through a hurricane, I never have to turn my wipers on.

im going to try out dodo juice red mist on my windows tomorrow, but im not sure about my windshield.

i usually never put anything on my windows, just clay them and use adams glass cleaner and they bead really well like as if there is something on there. I dont have to use my wipers above 50mph either

True that! Now I have it on all three cars (windshield only at the moment) it is trully amazing product! Durability suppose to be 2 years/25k miles...

Yep, after a ton of research on this. I have come to the conclusion that some front windshields are coated with something from the factory to keep them slick for a longer time. Using IW845 or RainX means it doesn't bond well to the glass and streaks after using wipers and water touches it.

My mom's RX has this problem on the front and rear glass, but sides are good. Also, I found a safe product was DG Aquawax, which is lovely! But you need to apply often. Just stick to cleaning the glass...

Lovely. I have noticed that with my GTI, water beaded up exceptionally well on all the glass surfaces before I even waxed it. So now...to get the 845 off the windshield.

I put DG501/105 on the windshield, not bad.

always on my GTI wheels. just do it, you wont be disappointed. its rare that i have to use any wheel cleaner to clean my wheels as long as i wash them at least once every 3 weeks or so. usually its even longer for me, and wheel cleaner isnt necessary. just some wash soap in your wheel bucket. ive noticed the same with having 845 on my car. it seems to stay cleaner longer with 845 than with other sealants. even with powerlock, dirt seemed to cling to my car "quicker". i put 845 on my car two weeks ago and havent washed yet, and it still looks clean as hell, even after raining two days.

I noticed the same thing! I had 845 on my Mazda3 for the longest time and it would stay clean looking for a lot longer than when I recently put Powerlock on my car. I also felt like my car got dirtier with both Powerlock and Prima Epic even though both are great sealants and provide a great look.

glad is wasnt just my mind playing tricks on me lol. as much as i love powerlock and a few other LSP's i always find myself reaching for 845 most of the time. especially now that i finally got a griots DA recently. its just so easy to throw a few coats of anything on.

Its my go to for LSP on almost any job. I also think its the best for the overall value. I cant even count how many cars I have done with just one bottle and it only costs $15.
