Good day everyone. I was so interested in the 3m brand and want to purchase it but i wanted the ones used in UK. Since it's so expensive to purchase it from UK, i tried to ask 3m US of the closest product that matches the Perfect it III product of UK and this is what they said. This is due to more stringent environmental reagulations here in the USA - the European products do not comply with our VOC rules. That being said, the Perfect-it 3000 line is very similar and will give equivalent results. Here is a letter that they sent me inquiring on Ultrafina... Alan, Thank you for contacting 3M. We appreciate your interest in our products. There is no difference between the Ultrafina Polish sold in Europe vs. the Ultrafina we sell here. It is directly imported from our manufacturing site here in the USA, The products are identical. Regarding the pads, they are basically the same (meaning they are manufactured to the same specification). The difference is the country of origin for the foam. The USA version has foam that is made in America, the European version is manufactured with foam made in Europe, It is slightly darker in color - that is the main difference. It would not make sense to ship foam across the ocean. Thanks for the inquiry. Steven J. Oh BTW. i did not ask about the 3m Ultrafina SE. I asked about the Fast cut to the fine cut compounds.
well the menzerna is directly imported from Germany...not made here...I have bought menz here and from UK and I seen no difference..whenMenz stopped the PO85RD and 106 FF here I had to resort to getting it from Ireland and UK...then they re released it here again..except the PO85RD...and the PO85RD 3.02 ..and PO85RD5.... and still only available from UK as far as I know...or imported here by vendors.. with the 3M ..if you look closely you see on the MSDS sheets the percentages of what is in the product...say like the Heavy paraffinic distillates....well it states 1-5 %..we in the US may get say 3% while the UK may get 5% which may be over our VOC regs....its the solvents that VOC advocates are after... technically its the abrasives that that make the final outcome of the finish...not any oils or water...so if they use the same abrasive ..which does not fall under VOC since its not a airborne chemical evaporative..how would the polish have a different result..its the abrasive action that does the polishing..the chemicals just either lube or keep the emulsion in suspension... Al
I have been using wool + powergloss on a car yesterday. Then went over with 3M ultafine and all the holograms was gone. Is it this fantastic? or just hiding them? I tried menzerna top inspection, and still nothing!
The new 3M products don't have any fillers, I've been experiancing the same thing pirex. As much as I wipe to check for fillers I haven't foudn any I remember that the old formulas had a bunch of fillers but looks like 3M saw the light and removed the fillers on there new products..not sure though that's just my experiance with 3M so far.
Pirex..Ultrafina is a very fine particle abrasive...being so it will remove holograms with ease....will not fill..if the polish is run thru its cycle on the paint you will not get any filling when its done breaking down as its called..a wipe down will show whats been corrected... ultrafina = ultra fine its a ultra fine abrasive to gloss the paint and remove any buffer trails... Al
Thats what I tought guys! Love Ultrafine SE. So easy to work with, and breaks down pretty fast. And you don`t need mutch to do 1 car!

They are so much more user friendly then their stuff from years ago. They have deffently stepped up their game big time. There isn't anything out there much easier to use than Ultra-Fina.
