Thank you all for the feed back, very much appreciated and I'm glad you enjoyed the write up. You know so far I've detailed 2 new Infinities, well 2008/2009 models and so far both have given me nothing both grief, I still have not found the right combo that gives great results....I've got another 2009 Infinity to do and I'm going to experiment with it some more. Hopefully, I'll find a combo that will give the results I'm after with out taking a huge amount of time...I'm also curious on the clear coat of the next Infinity I have coming. I agree, great vehicle to sit in and drive. The exhaust has a nice sound to it as well, fine looking vehicle if you ask me and has plenty of power to have fun with it. Glad you enjoyed the write up and the reason I do such write ups is exactly for that reason, so others can learn new tricks or try something different. When I first started detailing I read through hundreds of threads and the ones that stuck to me the most were the ones from the UK, those UK folks sure know how to detail and document their details. Well I learned so much from the write ups that I adopted the documentation method and haven't looked back. Glad you enjoyed it eace:
If you (ever) find a combo that works I'll be sure to make notes and try it out for myself. I haven't had to do a multi-stage paint correction on mine yet as it's brand new and there are only some very very light swirls here and there. All I've really done is burnish the paint the first weekend I received the car, and I had posted pics after that icture:
There has to a combo for these vehicles, there is always a perfect combo for every vehicle it's just a matter of taking the time to find it, so far two vehicles...maybe the third one will do the trick  I like a challenge and I know I'll find the appropriate combo :thumb: I'm more then happy to share what I find out eace:
How in the heck did I miss this one??? Great job Carlos and shows how diligence and persistance can pay off when you don't have much to work with. A great post for learning that you can correct with low paint readings you just have to do it the right way and take more time. Very Very impressed with your work on this one and my favorite pic was the one with the reflection in the bumper as well!
Thank you JL glad you enjoyed it, this vehicle was interesting and I wish I could say I got it 100% flawless but I can't. But I at least got it to 80 to 85% But the low clear coat issue was fun to deal with but it's not a show stopper :thumb: On this vehicle I tried to use all the new techniques I've picked up at the photograph classes I've taken, I still have a long way to go but so far so good. Thanks for the feed back eace:
