Well Sunday finally came around and I was all set to go to the carshow :cheerl: :cheerl: Now I really wantd to see the Range Rover and here it is: Unfortunetly it had some minor micro maring from people touching it and what I asume the in between wipes to the vehicle...shame :shakehead: but Vintage was looking impresive. Rims, tires and wheel wells were looking great :druling: That's my little princess looking at her self on the reflection of the vehicle, that made me smile. But the depth was still there and it had an incredable glow to it, I was pleased with that. Okay well after seeing the Range Rover I thought since I'm here might as well look around lol. Actually I promised a good friend I'd take a look at the two vehicles he's looking to purhcase, he wants my honest opinion on them. Any who more on that later. Here are some pictures of what I saw at the show: Wife loves Minies :shrug: Now these are quite the vehicles :druling: Nice vehicle but not sure if it was detailed...:shakehead: Lovely Lotus :druling: But the poor thing was covered in swirls and holograms...:acry2: Now this was neat, I've seen ZR's yellow Enzo and I've only heard there was a red Enzo in town but now I've seen it. Looks good, well detailed as well :thumb: Oh and Kulu is the other exotic dealership here in town. Nice Gallardo, they had a Murcielago boy those look lovely :thumb: Now this Vett looks familiear hmmm..where have I seen this one before :shead: :shead: oh yes that's one of the Vetts we detailed :giggle: :giggle: hmm...lovely emblem :druling: Now this is quite the vehicle :thud: :thud: wow gorgeous. Okay now my friend has put deposits to the following vehicles and asked me to take a look at them both and report back to him here they are: The other vehicle he has a depost it on is this: To be honest I'm having a hard time chooseing, both vehicles are great but the GTR performance wise has an edge on the R8. Both have sexy curves but in this aspect for me the R8 wins, just love the way the back end of the R8 looks like some sexy hips of a vehicle..mmm...what can I say I love sexy hips aham..so any who I got to report back to my friend who has deposits to both of these vehicles as they will be delivered here sometime in June or so...oh and guess who's going to get the priverledge to detail these bad boys...come one guess :whistle: Well moving along, I couldn't get too many pictures of the R8 as there was too many people around the poor thing oh and I almost cried when I saw people leaning on it, kids with there jakets scratching it as they rubed them selves around it oh it was disturbing in deed :shakehead: no respect to the vehicle I tell ya. Wile I was trying to sap pictures at the R8 wife found the vehicle she wants: I knew coming to the car show would cost me something...well thank fully we did not purhcase anything :shakehead: but I know what I'l be hearing from here on in :doh: :doh: it's all good, just gives me more of an excuse to purchase more high end wax :cheerl: :cheerl: and I got my eye on somethin already :giggle: :giggle: Okay moving along, lastly I saw these two bad boys: Oh I really like this black one with the stripe on the hood, looks good :applause: Well these were the only vehicles that got my attention, there were many others Toyota, Lexus, Ford, SAAB..ect..ect..but these were the ones that got my attention. Okay so about the R8 and the GTR what are your thoughts/opinions? Oh I was told that the GRT has 480HP at the wheels...at the wheels that's impresive I thought it was 480 in general to the entire vehicle :shead: :shead: Well just thought I'd share with my fellow detailers/car fans :headbang: :headbang:
Oh I'm moving all my money to other accounts just in case she desides she wants the vehicle for her birthday coming up aranoia: aranoia: Now with respect to the R8 vs the GTR, see I really like the R8 but it's not really a vehicle you can drive all year round..I mean you can but boy I would cry if I drove an R8 in winter with all the rocks flying around, salt and accident...brrrrr just the thought gives me shivers. Now the GTR on the other hand seems like the type of vehicle you can drive all year round, rain, snow, and most of all sun shiny deays :cheerl: but as far as apperance goes they are both very nice but the R8 wins for me. I love the head lights it has, just drule over the curves it has but I'm putting my self in my friends shoes. If I was to purchase one which one would I purchase....and me thinks R8 it would be...but even if I was to purchase the GTR there would be no way I'd be driving that in the snow.....oh did I mention it was AWD...mmm...:thinking: :thinking: very interesting vehicle in deed. I don't know I'm going to have to think about this before I meet up with my friend to give him my honest opinion..mmm..:thinking:
Oooh nasty :gross: can't beleave people enter such things in a car show...:crasy: :crasy: as for the 480 yea I'm confused now, I thought the 480HP was for the entire vehicle but I'm being told differently who knows..can't wait to see it though and be able to touch it and sit in it :wicked:
carlos dont even kid yourseld.. niehter would be driven in the winter... your the only guy i know with a SUV that sees less rain and snow then a ferrari in florda.... You have an SUV as a garge queen, you think either one of those will see bad weather?
Well if I was to purchae either one your right I'd get a lift and they would sit up there and come down for me to admire it, turn it on hear the engine roar sit there with a glass of wine and smile a way :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: hahahaha yes, yes I baby my SUV lol. But my friend who's going to be purchasing these things he's really going to drive it in winter...well he's thinking about that so he wants me to give him my opinion on the vehicles. I think they are both great but the GTR seems more "practical" hahaha if you can use that word in this scenario hahahaahaha

My fav car was the LP640 Coupe...I was on the floor. Also Loved the Viper Bullit mustang was cool. I dont have any full pics though.
R8 hands down!!! Did you know that the GTR has a grandfather system in it where if you go near a road course, and then proceed ONTO the course the computer keeps track of it and it voids your warranty? Stuipd thing the nissan rep told me when I was there....how awful is that? Oh, and its not 480 at the wheels, on an all wheel drive car that'd mean the car would have to have clost to 600 flywheel. Definatly not right. The R8 is a drivers car, plain and simple. PLUS it comes with a real transmission, not some junk that doesn't allow you to control things yourself!
I think that the GTR will only be limited to 156MPH. That isn't too bad. Just annoying that you have to get it inspected before taking it to the track. I have a feeling that tuners/ hackers will be taking care of this.
