This car was a trade in and it was so dirty and conteminated that the salesperson didn't notice the terrible repaint on the driver's side. The left side was going to get repainted but the owner asked me if I could do anything to improve the finish. I said "NO". I also measured the paint for him and 1 panel would be in the 60s while other ones would be closer to 300 microns. :buffing: He asked me again if I would try a spot and see if I could get it look a little better. Out with an orange pad and HD UNO. The gloss actually started to come back so I stopped and next morning I started to work on it. This car was the most conteminated (dirt) car I have ever detailed. Claying alone took almost 2 hours. I had to clay it twice. Naturally a neglected car in Oregon will also be covered in waterspots. I really had to polish the glass hard to get it clean. On to the detail. PS: First person who came in to look at it bought it (2 days later) PROCESS AWESOME - ENGINE/TIRES/WHEELS 3D CAR WASH 3D CLAY HD UNO WOOL HD UNO ORANGE (WINDOWS AS WELL) HD UNO WHITE HD UNO WHITE (RIGHT SIDE OF THE CAR) EZ CREME GLAZE GREEN HD POXY GREY MEG'S ENDURANCE ON TIRES OID ON WINDOWS SSR3 ON WHEELS Z8/FX100 MIX ON WHEELS INTERIOR STEAM HD TOTAL HD PROTECT BEFORE WATER SPOTS EVERYWHERE GREAT REFLECTION!!! wow. nice work man. It's been a while since you have posted work and since we last spoke. How is business? How are things working out for you with that new deal? I can usually tell a repaint from just looking. Most places are not that good and usually leave behnd orange peel in places that it shouldn't be, can see blending or leave behind sanding scratches or runs LoL
Nice job, the difference in clarity is night and day (and im not talking about that new ridiculous Tom Cruise movie with Cameron Diaz) Fine work!
