I'd forgotten to post this car, but here it is. A 1987 190E 2.3-16valve which was repainted a couple years ago in metallic black (which is also a blast to drive! I had the owner's permission of course) :headbang:. The owner is often out on business trips and sometimes forgets to put his car cover back on as the car sits outside on the driveway; exposed to the elements.

After I finished washing the car and taking the above pictures, I brought the car into the garage and began claying process. Afterwards, I started off with a small test panel on the front passenger door with a 5.5" green uber foam pad and pbw ssr2.5 (sorry no pics :shakehead:). I didn't get as good a result with this combo and I switched pads to an orange which yielded slightly better results, but not quite there yet. I switched to the menz power finish and that seemed to work better and I stuck with that combo. After the whole car was done with the power finish, I went down to the menz final finish to clean up the leftovers from the power finish. I then proceeded to wipe the car down with a 70/30 mix of IPA and threw on the glaze. After glazing was finished, I put on layer of sealant and let it cure for a good 3-4 hours; ahh break time  :drinking2:. I did a swipe test every so often to check it. I hate the ridiculously long cure time of the sealant :waiting2:, but the depth and shine it gives is just incredible; especially on a metallic black paint finish! After the sealant had been buffed off, I wanted to try out my new collinite 845 LSP. I put on a thin layer and let it set for a good while before buffing it clear. I debated with myself on whether I should give it a final wipedown with a QD or not...in the end I opted not to, haha. Here's the fruit of my labor after a 2day detail.

After Pics: It was a bit cloudy the day i took the pictures and there's a couple shots with the sun behind the clouds, but worked out great for reflection shots :thumb:

Probably one of the most reliable and bullet proof cars Mercedes ever built. And what a nice example this one is. Well done!
