As long as you're not stopping at 1000-1500 grit while sanding, you can easily get out 2000 grit and up wetsanding marks with foam. I've managed...
Try using more pressure, cleaning the pad more frequently(a couple of times per panel and with compressed air if you have it), smaller work areas...
Are you priming the pad with D300 or just detail spray?
Sometimes it's hard to make sense of these things. I don't see SIP (SI1500) on the new chart, and the new name for 85rd should be SF4500....
