Depending on whos black pad you use it has a slight cut to it, you need to use a pad with no cut to it to final polish with.
If you are having problems with product caking up in the center of the pad you are either using way too much product, not priming the pad...
I mostly use a blue Lake County pad to finish with.
Everything gets finished with a rotary.

105 is completely non-diminishing abrasives and 95 has both non and diminishing abrasives. It doesn't have quite the cut as 105.
