    the shop vac pros:
    comes with 3 attachments
    3 year warranty

    cons: 2.5 inch diameter hose
    uses bags

    rigid pros:
    thinner hose(more suction power)
users say its more sturdy built
    no bags

    cons: only 1 attachment

if any users have these please chime in. thanks!

Not the same Rigid vac, but I have this one:

Stainless vac w/cart - RIDGID Professional Tools

I really like it. I powerwashed an area rug for my sister yesterday and used this to extract most of the water. It is quite powerful.

    I'd go rigid.

I would go with the Rigid for the no- bags.

:shead:I have never seen a Shop-Vac that requires bags

See if you can purchase a coupler that allows you to attach 2 hoses together.
