Use An Extractor? You May Like This...

Ever since I acquired my Mytee Lite II (it has only been a few days mind you), I've always wondered if there was ever an extractor/upholstery tool/wand that uses a transparent plastic head to allow its users to see how much filth is really being extracted. I mean, don't we all want to know how clean we're really getting those carpets!?!

So in an effort to find a solution, I did a somewhat thorough search of the internet to find what I was looking for. I was able to find a few things through eBay and Google and I hope this information will actually be useful for some of you out there. If you check Rotovac, they also sell some transparent, plastic, extractor heads/wands (Standard Detailer, Economy External Spray Detailer, Economy Internal Spray Detailer, and Super Economy).

Again, I really hope this information was helpful. I'm thinking I might purchase one myself somewhat soon, hehe.

 

My two cents is don't bother, the palstic can get brittle over time and crack if impacted on something hard. Stick to the stainless steel, it will last longer

 

On my original Aztec extractor, it had the clear plastic tool so that you could see the dirt etc. I just got a replacement unit from them due to a switch issues and they sent the "upgraded model" with longer hose, longer cord and a metal tool. I admit it was weird not seeing if water was still being sucked up and if it was still dirty. It does seem like it will last long though.

Of all the ones you listed, the metal one with the window looks like the best bet. You would get the durability of metal and still see what is going on.

Are those units all universal as I see there are some different spec models. You should make sure it will indeed work with your machine before you order anything. Thanks for looking all those up!

 

Thats really my only complaint with my Mytee. I like to be certain theres no residual extractor juice left behind and the carpet is as dry as it can be. I agree with gregk though that the Ebay one does look to be the best.


EDIT: I also wish it came with a vented head for doing headliners and sun visors.......
