Hello! I currently own LC white pads, but after reading throughout the forum, it seems Uber green pads are popular as well.

What are the differences between these two pads? Do they cut/finish equally well?

I use LC white with Menz Powerfinish and Megs 205 via DA but would like to know what i'm missing out on :yikes:

    Thanks in advance

I dont like the white with menz sip...which is my go to polish...sip and green uber seem to work great together

And m205 its just the opposite white lc seems to work best .i truly have been surprised the correction i have gotten with that combo on say like a soft honda paint.
..i just purchased some blue hydro pads have yet to use them yet

Honestly i could not see not having lc white and uber greens

LC White has more finishing capabilities. On most paints you can finish down with that pad, and it's great for AIO products. Uber Green is for mid range polishes but can be used for 1 steppers on hard clear coats. Overall, Green has more bite.

This question seems to get asked alot, but I'm more curious how Uber green and LC green compare. Anyone have an opinion on this?

I want to say there were two LC green styles, and one of them completely sucked. Like really bad. Pad became really rough and plasticky. They are on the same par with cut, so stick Uber Green as they've worked flawlessly for me.

Uber green dominates LC green. Uber green has got to be the most versatile pad I have used. When you combine the uber green and something like 203 or Prima Swirl you can have a pretty damn good one stepper. The Green CCS pads are pretty good too.

I remember there being 2 different LC greens too, but lately all I see are the ones between the traditional black and white. It looks like the Uber/B&S green is the way to go.

I'd say the Uber green has the same or better finishing ability than the LC white. I have finished down countless soft clear cars using 85rd and an Uber green pad. The LC white is a great pad but its a much more dense foam thus its more likely to gum up quickly. If your using the LC white to finish down once it gets really saturated with product its cut goes to crap and it may leave some light hazing. I find I need to change out my uber greens less than I do with the LC whites.

Overall the better pad I think most would agree on is the uber green. Plus as with all uber pads the super strong backing velcro and easy release nature of the foam are a huge benefit as well.

Interesting. I always thought it was in between the white and orange LC pads. Thanks for the correction. I know it made for a great one stepper with 203 but I haven't really tried it with anything below 106fa on VW clearcoat. Perhaps I'll experiment some more once the weather breaks.

Uber green has a bit more cut than lc white. I am finishing up an L3 RR right now and I use to use lc white to polish them with sip. That was a good combo but I had to pit a lot of pressure down, with the uber green, light to no pressure corrected the paint with one step very nicely. I love the uber green pads. I still keep the white incase.

There is/was a green between the orange and white, but checking a couple of vendors, I can't find those anymore. They have a chart comparing the LC pads, and both vendors rate their LC green as below white in cut.

I realy like the white from Buff and shine, its feel a little more denser then the green pad.

How do they finish? I've been thinking about trying them out.

As I understand the B&S cut chart, white has less cut than green. Is the white B&S similar to the LC white (also dense).

There is an ultrasoft B&S white too.

Where did you get the white B&S pads? ADS does not carry white.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

I just finished a 2004 Honda Civic with LC white/205 but the paint was extremely hard so I moved up to LC orange/105. The whole process was hard, the pads gunked up after a several panels and the paint needed a lot of passes and pressure to do any real correction. After reading this, I'm super excited to try the uber green.

    Just for clarification:

    uber yellow - m105
    uber green - powerfinish, m205
    uber blue - m205, po85rd

Does the above sound good ^^ ?

    Thanks guys:applause:

Very good with M205 and PO106FA.

According to this chart http://www.buffandshine.com/flat-foam-pads-p-323-l-en.html white have more cut then the green, just as I thought.
Straight from buff and shine. And this was not the ultrasoft.

Green will not cut as much as LC orange, thats for sure. I find the green a little bit on the soft side. But I think that on almost every pads from american manufacturers. In Europe we like the firmer foams better.
