We should have it in DJ_JonnyV's new garage! J/K! : Actually, I promised a friend of mine I'd take care of his car but I don't know what his availability would be. It'd be cool to get that thing up on your lift.
It's ON! You can show the Clean Dean vids while we work. If we wait until the weekend of Aug. 2nd, I might have a 944 S2 Cabriolet that needs a full exterior done. Or are we just gonna drain your stockpile of beer? :applause2: Do you need any help finishing the garage in the meantime?
If you're feeling limber, you can come down and help me run the cabling for the audio/video. With the STL heat and humidity, we'd want to shoot for early in the morning or when it's forecasted to be a little cooler. We'll need to climb in the attic to fish everything. BTW, what do you guys think, should I go full 5.1 surround system in the garage or just keep it a 2.1 stereo system? Either way, I'll have HD and DirecTV out there along with a link-in for my iPod. Just not sure if it's worth the extra money to do a full 5.1 system in my garage.
Would it really be that much more for a 5.1 system? IMO, 2.1 is not even an option for me. It seems kind of fruitless to have HD and yet only have 2.1. Just remember that it's a one-time investment and it'll serve you for a very long time (as long as your system doesn't fail, LoL).
5.1 It's not even a question nowadays, right? Or am I in my own little world on this as well? If we're both in the attic, we need to make sure to tell someone that if we're not out in half an hour, to call the paramedics. I don't have much faith in either of us having enough common sense to get out of there when we need to. I've got jungle genes, so I may last a little longer than you and decide to just save myself.
I'm in, just give me enough lead time. And just who spent 16 years at Best Buy? Seriously, if you need help all ya have to do is give me a call.
Damn, you guys are a bad influence. I already have 2 5.1 systems in the house, and was trying to show some restraint. Don't worry, MadOzodi, I've pulled a few wires in attics before. I'll do the dirty work in the attic, just need somebody in the garage to pull the wires / fish them up.
Kudos to you guys that have actually met. A whole bunch of people from Southern California in different forums have been trying to organize a get together and nothing ever takes place. I guess that is one of the joys of living in this part of the country, people are just either too busy/preoccupied or simply have too many social buffers.
Oh, we have a lotta sh!t going on around here too. I got the Missouri stew from my wife after our last detail day for being gone 6+ hours. I'm not sure how, but we seem to find time to make things happen.
Sweet! I'm coming to the next one. I look forward to meeting everyone and that 944 really does need some help.
Well, my installer buddy is going on vaca this week and he's had a bunch of other stuff to finish up, so i've taken a back seat. Can't really complain with the prices I get stuff at. I'll plan on hosting as discussed, but who wants their Menzerna acting up in weather like this!!!
Well I'm being owned by a radiator issue right now. :spank: It was actually more cost effective for me to have a custom radiator built than it is to have mine repaired. Hopefully I'll know when the car is going to be done tomorrow.
I was off this weekend and tried to detail the truck. Didn't get very far as it was just too damn hot. That 100 degree mark with the humidity was just a killer.
