Took a couple camera phone pictures today since my mom has her camera with her. These pictures really don't do justice at all. I am in freakin love. They are a tad blurry cause of a crack I have in my screen.

    Nice.

Tint. Small lift. Paint wheels black.

Do those and you have a good looking SUV.

Nitto Terra Grapplers, 285/75R16. In comparison to stock, they are a tiny bit louder. A very slight humming sound, but nothing annoying at all. They look bigger in person.

Thats what I tell all the females. "It looks bigger in person"

You're making this thread really awkward, Christopher.

oh god you got grapplers. Those things are loud. I guess it all depends on tire size and setup. Looks good though man. I had some 33x13.50's on my Toyota Tacoma but they were Mickey Thompsons and they were pretty good. When i sold my rims . . . . the buyer came in his lifted truck with 35" Grapplers and those were loud.

    Looks good though man!

305 is a 33. 285 is a tad smaller. very nice tires. i just bought 285/65/r18 bfg all terrain t/as last winter for my truck .... i love new rubber

Yea they're 32.7, close enough in my book. Can't get over the look of them. You wouldn't think two inches would make such a difference. (that's what she said)

edit: on the tire calculator, a 305/75R16 is a 34 inch tire.

It doesnt matter if its a 305, a 285 or anything else, you can't determine the tire by the first number. The aspect ratio, which is the second number, plays a big role in the size of the tire. A 285/xx/xx could be bigger than a 305/xx/xx depending on the second number.

    Correct.

    Width/sidewall/size of rim

Yep, I was just basing it off of the 75 ratio.

This. The first number is the width in mm. The second is a ratio to determine tire sidewall height. in his case with a 285/75, that means the height is 75% of the width.

So, the sidewall is 8.415" high. The formula for figuring overall diameter is this:

    2 (285 * .75) +16 = 32.83"
    . . 25.4

Looks very nice! What did you dress the tires with?

My neighbor had these on his Ford truck and the thread recently seperated on all tires, but Four Wheel Parts was nice enough to give him some kind of credit and put that money towards some BFG All-Terrains...

Oh that makes me feel safe LOL. I've heard really good things about these, that must have just been a fluke. I used Beyond Black Tire Pro, didn't clean them beforehand because tomorrow is a big cleaning day for me. Raceglaze mitts might be coming....
