first off, where is the tar at? a dedicated tar remover should be used. try tarminator by stoners or try using Goo gone from walmart or kmart or home depot etc.

    hope that helps.

IPA works well for tree sap. Use 3M adhesive remover for removing tar. Works excellent, and is available over the counter.

Stoner Tarminator is all that I use for tar, I love the stuff!

Tardis is my fav but AG Intensive tar remover works well as does Goo Gone.

I don't think ARO is formulated to remove tar. Simple Green isn't powerful enough for tar, either.

I also recommend Tarminator. You should be able to purchase it locally, like Walmart or Auto Zone or something, it's cheap and it will do the job just fine.

Soak an old micro fibre towel and allow it to dwell ( add detailers clay to the corners to enable it to 'stick' to the surface) on the tar, and then agitate. You may have to repeat this process

Kyle, I bought a 5 gal pail last year. It works great as a liquid, as long as you have a sprayer that can spray out a fine mist. Otherwise it goes on too much and just runs off.

The tar is under the front doors on the side skirts. So all of it is just splattered on the skirts. Where can I get Tardis? I tried to google it, but I found no one who sells it. Thanks guys, Elliott

Can't get Tardis in the US yet, not easily at least. Any Pep Boys or Autozone should have Stoner's Tarminator, it'll work perfectly for what you need it for. If it doesn't, then it's probably not tar.

Just get some kerosene. No need to go out of your way to order something. Any kinda of petro-based tar remover will actually dissolve/remove the tar without a sweat. Tarminator, Tardis....they are all petro-based solvents.

Kerosene, gasoline, mineral spirits, paint thinner, xylene.... they all work effectively and are all safe to use on paint.

If any of you guys get close to ValetPRO's Citrus Tar & Glue Remover, go get some. It's good stuff.

    Kind regards,

    Ebbe

No, I've got it in a Zep bottle, but that's a damned good idea.
