Client had his car detailed at another shop and was displeased by the work they did. So I helped him out and fixed some hazes and wet sand marks left over from the place he took it too. I tried taking pics of it before but you just could not see it on the paint with a camera. And sorry I do not have whole process for car. My camera ran out of memory and I had to take only a few. And the garage was closed during each polish. I only opened it when I needed a break.

FMINUS those polishing towels worked great too! Now i gotta test the bottle that I got from you. But it is going to rain here tomorrow....

    Process:
1st: Car was already washed by client
    2: Clay barred
    3. Polished with 106FA w/white pad
    4. Polished all the metal parts and plastic by hand
    5. Then client took it back home to finish it(he is a neighbor so right next door)

The roof was a little tricky I did not know what it was made of. So I used the FLEX and at a low (4) polished out the swirls I found. There were still some marks but did not want to mess with the paint too much there. But results were pretty good.

Thats a sharp looking mini :thumb:

I don't know what it is about Mini's but they are interesting to detail them. The roof of them specially if they are black like the one you did I found them to be very, very touchy. What was happening to me was that every time I polished an area and when I was removing the polish with a MF it was causing some more micro marring  not sure if you found the roof to be that picky but I sure did. The rest of the body was okay to do though.

I've never seen a wite mini with the black stripes..looks good. I like the yellow ones with the black stripes they look aggresive :thumb:

So I take it the owner put the protection (wax or sealant) on him self?

Vehicle looks great :applause: thank you for sharing and I can totally understand what you mean about not being able to capture the difects on that white colour vehicle, it's tough.

White with black stripes..that looks awesome. Looks really good and the trim looks great :D I'm seriously thinking of getting a Mini someday in my life, even an old school one.

Just proof that a properly polished vehicle even with NO wax/sealant on it looks phenominal and that the lsp only enhances...
    :headbang:
I hope your customer did not go and induce some new marring while "shinning her up"!!!

    Hey Nica,
Ya this car looked pretty darn beautiful in person. I was really impressed by the mini. The car also had paddle shifters for a cooper S which surprised me b/c I thought they only came in manual. The roof was extremely tricky I asked him if he had ever polished it himself and he told me he did it with a PC. So I took the FLEX lowered it down to about 3 to 4 and got a white Pad w/ 106FA and went to work. THe results were great, but the correction was not perfect b/c i had no clue what the roof was. But honestly this car was difficult b/c of all the extra things he had on there!!! Man that was a :spank: job

I'm just new here and I'm trying to get through some of the previous details when I can.

I'm not a big fan of Minis TBH and I've seen accounts of a few Mini details over the last few months. I've never felt the need or desire to comment on them either.

    UNTIL I SAW THIS ONE!

A cracking looking car and an awesome finish for a white car. Your paint correction was carefully thought out and carried out to a great standard while giving the utmost consideration to the materials under the paint. I have to say WELL DONE.

The finish really caught my eye. I took a quick look at it and almost went onto another thread, but I needed to read through your thread.

    NOW THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!!!!:applause:
