This 1998 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta was initially brought to me to only restore the Interior, However upon arriving, the customer decided he would like to have had the car polished and protected with Swissvax as well.

The interior leather was starting to look it's age, the dash had significantly dried out and shrunk in a couple areas, the leather seats were showing wear, and the interior needed an overall cleansing and rejuvenation.

I'll start with the process of healing the leather to make it look relatively new again! I attained a leather sample of the car some weeks ago, and passed by Swissvax USA to get an appropriate exact match mixed for me, and to my surprise, they had just what I needed in stock! I picked up the Swissvax Leather Healer for Ferrari Tan leather, and notified the owner so we could begin work on the interior as soon as possible.

Here's how the Interior looked upon arrival.

    The dash shrinking

notice the leather beginning to shrink on top of the seatbelt

The Driver's seat was showing the worst wear, this is where most of the "healing" attention went to.

A couple more spots throughout the car needed some leather healing as well.

the carpets also needed some attention

Prior to any "nourishing" treatments, the Interior was fully cleansed, using Swissvax Leather Cleaner Forte and 1Z Blitz.

Here's a 50/50 of the driver's seat bottom after cleaning

Swissvax Leather Softener was applied to all the upper leather surfaces in the car. This is to prevent further shrinkage and to soften the leather.

OK, and i'll save the after pictures for the end!

    Onto the Exterior...

The paint was slightly oxidized, and had many swirl marks courtesy of the bi-weekly mobile car wash. Also, therer were a number of areas where a previous detailer had burnt off the paint on certain edges. Due to this, I notified the owner that a deep correction (anything more than a one stage) might not be a good idea due to the possibility of thin paint. So we agreed to give the car a Single Stage correction using Swissvax Cleaner Fluid Medium paired to a Swissvax Black "gloss" pad on the Festoon ShineX rotary. I thereafter followed that with a pass of Cleaner Fluid Regular on the Porter Cable. The paint was then Finished off with Swissvax Scuderia Wax for Italian Paintwork.

    WOW..............................................

The paint looks incredibly wet. Ferrari does Red right, Great job.

You need to post process pictures and explanation on the leather interior renovation. I have some lines in am wifes drives seat i would love to repair but other than leatherique pristine clean and rejuvinator oil I have no idea what the process would be. if you don't mind I would like to know more about this area of detailing I know nothing about. Obviously you have mastered it.
