This car belongs to our local S2000 guru that I met a long time ago when I still had mine and was very active in our community. This has always been his "street" S2000 and if you saw his fully prepped autocross race car that is still somewhat of an S2000 then you would understand. So, long story short, this one got a little bit neglected and wasn't driven much in the past couple of years. Of course I jumped at the chance when I was asked to help bring this car back to glory as it gave me a chance to mess around with a car that I spent 8 years daily driving. Foam wash Clay bar (whew, it was bad) Dried Masked Rupes LHR15ES with green Rupes foam pads Menzerna HC400 Menzerna Powerlock I wasn't every very fond of this particular color when I had mine but I started to like it more and more as I polished on it and the purple tint hit it at certain light! Anyway, onto the pictures... Clay was ROUGH to say the least. Whole car was covered and took quite a bit of claying to break through to the surface before starting polishing. Light inspection time... Some of the pictures were darkened a bit to help show the defects as the color made it tricky. Starting to get to work! These headlights...What can I say?! Much clearer! Moving nicely now... Great results on the back end! Trunk was a good turn around... Polishing done! Sealant applied... Moving on to the interior... Can't keep the license plate dirty... Unfortunately I couldn't get any good sun shots as the sun had not come over my house yet before I had to leave for work! Thanks for looking!
Nice save! A rather neglected classic. Hope he appreciates and runs a vacuum in it once in awhile. Cheers,
