Hey guys can I use a spray wax on a car after I wipe the fresh wax off? Its like a spray detailer but I do not want to mess up the new wax that I just put on!
I'm not sure why you would want to use a spray wax after you added a new coat but I suppose it will be okay. I would personally do it after it's next wash.
I was doing it as a second coat of wax, but if you think i should after the next wash Im going to believe you! Im the "Virgin Detailer" here! :buffing:
Should be fine, depends probably on what you're using. I tend to use Prima Hydro to help buff off wax or sealant.
I just used collinite 845 on my car. Will it be okay to use Optimum spray wax after a wash on top of the 845?
That would work fine. I personally like the look and feel of 845 untopped. I use OID as a drying aid, but rarely OCW. However, I have done it with no adverse side effects. I always like to give Collinite waxes enough time to cure though, if it is not completely removed it could leave pseudo-holograms which can be a paint to remove. Then after the first wash topping with OCW would work fine.
Some QD's are wax, some are polymers and some have no "protection" at all.. Although both wax and polymer QD's "will work" it is suggested to use a wax QD with wax and a Polymer QD with a sealant. Megs Ultimate QD, BF Polymer spray are a couple of polymer examples. Optimum spray wax should be fine over Coli 845.
