I was wondering what everyone uses to seal their wheels for a long period of time. Iv'e used a number of dedicated wheel waxes/sealants that don't seem to last more than a few weeks. I was thinking of trying Collinite 845 or 476 because of its great durability. What do you guys think?

i have used 'Wheel Wax', its garbage very Hard to Remove and Stains

I have been using Poorboys Wheel Sealent, my Winter wheels i coated them with 1 layer it before Winter and so far i am very very impressed with them since the wheels have been on my car since November... Drive Thru car wash no aggitation and the wheels come out Clean from all the Salt, Grime and Brake Dust

i think i'm going to try reload on my wheels by aquartz.

So far, the WOWO products, like optiseal and upgp have provided me the best results.

I use 476, never tried 845. I have wanted to give rejex a try as well but have not bought any yet.

I used FK 1000P before the winter and they are still very nice. I use the local pressure washer to knock off the salt and grime. The barrels are still nice and clean without any brushing.

bilt hamber autobalm has proven to be quite good in my experience for wheels (especially the german brake dust)
poorboy's sealant gets a bit messy sadly and you get pink left on your rim if you do clean up all your residue/excess
Opti-Seal has proven to be not so great for rims in my opinion with the european brake dust. It kinda "bleeds" brakedust on the rim instead of dots.
SV Autobahn should be made of win but i have yet to try

What I do every few months:

    Clay
Polish with 1Z Paint Polish (Red)
    2 layers Menz Powerlock (
    1 layer Colli 476

Maintenance coats of Swissvax Autobahn and Colli. (Whatever i feel like using.)

overkill, but I like knowing the are protected from the elements and brake dust.

fk 1000- and bilt hamber have also worked great for me. the fk 1000 really seems to alllow you to just rince the break dust right off. also easy to use.

Pulled my wheels 14 months ago and applied Blackfire Metal Sealant. Just pulled them 2 weeks ago and just cleaned with soap and water with a brush. Anyone that have worked on the inner side of the wheels knows how much brake dust and grime build up there is and how tough it is to remove. Blackfire works. Said to stand up to 500 degrees of heat. Did one side with GTechniq C5 (Wheel Armor) and the other side with Blackfire. Let's see what holds up better, but I'm still sold on Blackfire. BTW this is Blackfire Metal Sealant and not the paint sealant.

It seems like Collinite is a popular choice. What kind of durability can I expect out of a few coats of 476?

I have had great luck with

    Prima Wheel Armour
    Swissvax Autobahn

But so far the best wheel sealant would have to be Opti-Coat
