    ok guys.

something came up unexpected with the optima steamer that I did not see coming.

up here in the northwest there are a ton of RV trainlers running around because they like to stop in this area to go through to alaska. they all come out with mold, green stuff that will not come off with TAW or anything else without a ton of scrubbing.

well my neighbor saw what I was doing with mildew on cars and their tight places so he asked me to try out his RV. now, this guy is 91 years old, been through 2 wars and is very disciplined and keeps all his stuff reall really nice and clean. he was telling me that with all the chemicals out there, he cant find anything to get the green stuff out with out some scrubbing, a tooth brush and possibly some stains that the degeasers leave in the fiber glass.

so i hit up the optima rolled over to his house (2 houses down) and started playing around. well, all the mold just flew right off the car with no damage caused to the fiber glass in RV in any kind of way. now I was playing around alot with it, trying to figure what to do and what not to do in which areas. RV's are so new to me.

he loved it so much he paid me 150 dollars for a 25 footer, I did no wash the RV I only went all over it penciling out the green mold from the cracks, door jams, windows, front vents and anywhere I could reach.

my question to all of you is how much should I charge for something like just removing the green mold from these RV's when nobody else in the state can do it. this week I had two more RV's come to me and they both paid me 150 because they saw what I did with the neighbors car. this process, with two people, takes about 1.5 hours on a 25 to 31 footer.

any help on figuring out pricing would be great.

on a side note, my friend use to detail at the used RV shop and told me that there were many times that they used strong degreasers and tons of scrubbing with brushes and the green just would not come off. he says that I could probably get away with charging 200 dollars per RV becaues those customers have money and, like I said, nobody else anywhere near me can remove it like me in the short time period.

charge what you market will bear. I live in the Tacoma area by you and I charge $60/hr. And if I have someone helping me I charge for their labor. So as long as your not giving you buddy $20 an hour it sounds about right to me. Plus you offer a service that many detailers in this state don't offer

hey we should meet up some time and detail a car together with the stuff I use. I live only 30 min from tacoma and drive through their pretty regularly.
