    Nanolex Reactivating Shampoo Review

    Cost:
    250mL : $28 +shipping from UK (around $42 shipped)
    1000mL (1L) : $77 +shipping from UK (around $93 shipped)

    Dosage: $20-25mL / 10L water

So I know the soap is a bit on the higher end of the price but stick with me here...

So this is my second time using it and so far I like it alot. First time was on a semi dirty car (parents) that had never been waxed in at least a year and provided the same results (as in the video posed later on).

This time around, I filled my bucket with 10L of water and measured out 25mL of NRS (Nanolex Reactivating Shampoo), little (apx 1" of foam was created on top when mixed with warm water). This is a very low foaming soap but is pretty slick when used.

Wash media I used tonight was a Megs MF mitt (car was dirty with salt and crud and did not want to use my RG Wool Mitt :headbang:.

My car's lsp is on its last breath and just trying to hold it out another week so I can put a fresh coat down, but the car had very little beading and almost no sheeting properties and paint felt minor roughness (needed to be clayed) [Keep this in mind for later]

Ok so back on topic here (sorry...) but the soap is low foaming but has very good lubrication and cleaning power and was able to clean away salt solution that on all around the lower and back of my car without any issues but also was very slick and mf mitt just glided over the car. I would say slickness is higher than Opt Car Wash and right there with Lusso (just a salt water taffy scent and not coconut)

But when it is rinse time, that is where this soap really shines and for me who lives in an apartment and does not have a DI system this will be my lifesaver in the summer as it has a great rinse aid that will sheet water like no other (as you can see in the video, sorry for the lighting but it was dark).

Another plus to this soap is that is leaves behind protection and Nanolex says that you can use this as you lsp and wash weekly or bi-weekly and no need for anything else as it will built stronger and stronger. But, what I can say is that it does seem to leave something as the finish was slicker and shine was better than when I did not use this. Also, beading was great when sprayed with water but sheeting properties where still there.

So who needs this soap you may ask?

Someone who wants a wash that puts down protection and weekly washes will still protect the car, or someone like me who when it gets to the end of the LSP life does not have time to apply the second coat and wants to use this to boost it for a good amount of time. Also great wash to use if you cant get shade because of the great sheeting properties when rinsing.

This is also the perfect soap for all those people using the new coating systems from Opt, A(C)Quarts, G|Tech, and Nanolex as this will keep the coating in top top condition because it lays down its own coating that is similar (kind of like G|Tech C2). But for those this should be something to look into, maybe not every wash but once a month to just keep it popping.

The rinse video: Again sorry for the crap lighting as it was dark and was working in my apartments wash bay. Oh yeah that is the highest the water pressure will go :thud: now you know why I want a pressure washer :( but I can make do....foam gun sucks at that pressure but what can I do? It is covered at least.

Any questions and comments are welcome...I was writing this as I was cooking so it may not be clear some parts but just ask away.....

Thanks, yes the $4/wash is on the higher side but like I said this can be a once a month, bi-weekly wash soap to keep everything going well after the initial 50% of the LSP is worn.

Thanks! Like I said above. ^

Thanks Sal, we need to get together sometime I know we keep saying that but next 2 weekends I will be out of town. Let me know if you need anything...

The shipping kills it, if it was just $27 it would be alot better but with he shipping it does get pricey...

is that a typo on the price for the 500mL?

might as well buy 2 bottles of 250mL instead.

Wow, that sheeting is unreal for just a shampoo with some protection properties! Thanks for the review Ankeet, I will have to give this stuff a shot next time I pony up for some overseas products. Which LSP did you have on the car prior btw?

Before I had AG HD, applied wanna say sometime in July. Sheeting was not this good before wash as I had washed the car 2 weeks before and did not dry very well with just sheeting method.
