Was on the E90post and decided I might as well advertise in the California section. I figured that the vendor price tag would only be $20(just like most other forums) since I am only doing this locally at my house and only like every two weeks. I get a PM and they tell me I have to become a Silver member vendor which is 12-months $1980. I thought to myself "Im doing this for only people in my area and they want to take my annual income for detailing?" I told them the exact thing and told me to try the Bronze which was $935! So I just deleted my thread and figured oh well business is business. Never knew that advertising on another bmw forum would be so overpriced.
Yikes those are some steep pricess, one thing I've learned though is that advertising is not cheap and it dosen't matter what kind of advertising it is. Advertising = Big $$ Oh you would laugh your head off if you ask how much to get one of those buss sings, you know the ones that are atached to the side of the buss hahahaha...oh and radio commercials are off the roof over $50,000.00 hahahaha but I have to admit radio, TV, bilboard signs, public transit...ect..ect..any kind of advertising works it truly does work...it's just a mater of balancing the recovery cost. Even on the net advertising is not cheap at all.
Well it's not about the current amount of members it has, the question is how big do I want Detailing Bliss to get? I'm aiming for the stars and beyond :awesome::awesome: I don't mind spending money on advertising it's just that I dont want to attract the wrong crowd that's all. Last thing I want is members who will cause nothing but headaches :wall::wall: Not only that but it's also important to figure out what/who you are targeting...that's what advertising is all about...targeting.
I ment does that other forum have enough people to justify 1300 hundred a month.... we hae had this discussion about where you want DB to go....
lol...oh that other forum :duh:...well that's just one way of advertising I'm looking at there are many other ways
