Here is mine on the back of my right calf, its different, but it was made by me!! Its my version of a celtic cross, has no real meaning for me, but I like the look of crosses and wanted something a little different, that was right after it was done.
My brother was diagnosed with leukemia in 2007, I'm his only bone marrow donor so I can't get any tattoos for a few more years until he's 100% in the clear. He's doing well in remission, and back at work if anyone was gonna ask.
WOW, thats great that you are able to help him!! Glad to hear that he is doing better, I have watched shows, and leukemia really takes a toll on people.
Yeah, we haven't done a transplant yet and our fingers are crossed that we won't have to! It was a pretty rough year for us, but luckily we're past it.
Thats sweet! I havn't thought that hard about my next tattoo. Later today I'll have the wife tack a picture of my tattoo below my neck on my back...
That would be great...I wanna see what people are rockin out there. We are going on vacation on Sunday, and wife wants to get tattoos while we are gone, so this is sorta helping me out too to decide..
Here are mine: (Don't ask me why it looks like I am flexing) This first one I got to match with my dad, I was the first to get it then he liked it so much he got it. It is a Greek Orthodox cross and I got it because growing up in a Greek Orthodox church I always thought it was the most beautiful thing and has so many meanings. For me its strength in life and faith so I had it put on my right arm (its a mirror so it looks opposite), my strong arm. It is actually a cross within a cross. This other one is for my grandfather who passed away last year. His last words to me were "we are men" and were actually the last words of his father as well. The olive branches in Greek mean peace and I thought it was appropriate to symbolize he was in peace now. I know you might think it is unreasonable or unnecessary to have them but they mean so much to me and I am so glad I have them. I probably wont get anymore I think this is good enough although they are pretty addicting and I have ideas for others. Chas

The complete saying is "Tempus fugit, memento mori." Translated, it means "Time flies, remember death" ..or.. "The hour flees, remember you will die." Latin. It is also the motto of a very powerful, secret, Catholic Gentlemen's Fraternal order, and not something a member of such an order would willingly publicize.
very nice research tom lol and yeh im def not a secret member i have to run to work now but il post up explaining y i got this myself
So since this thread was made by yours truely I have thought of my second tattoo. It will be my grandfathers purple heart which I plan to have on my left shoulder or chest.
