This is my dad's car that he bought from the dealer for about 3k, and has put another $300 into getting it to run and look better. He called me up and wanted me to take a company van from CO to TX and bring my detailing stuff to take care of his car.

*Disclaimer: these are his pictures off of his camera he documented everything when he was around so sorry they arent detailingbliss quality

some pictures from when he bought it:
notice the gunk around the taillights :yuck:
notice the lack of shine and faded paint
    [IMG]
    chips and faded paint
    [IMG]
all horizontal panels had waterspots and where oxidized really bad
    [IMG]

So the after getting the car in running condition my dad orders a dr colorchip kit and proceeds to apply to all chips and buffed the paint level:

    before
    [IMG]
    after!

that stuff works awesome and since he did that about a month before i detailed it the chips didnt pop off when i went over it with the rotary!

So fast forward to around Dec:

I get there and proceed to wash the car down with megs goldclass and clayed the car the paint didnt have any contaminants above surface so i proceeded to tape a test section to make sure what i brought with me was going to work:

    yuck

so after a hit with sip and lc orange at 1800rpms, followed by 106fa and lc white at 1500 this is what i was left with:
    still hazy... but looks promising..

I ended up needing to hit the hood and roof twice with a fresh orange pad with SIP to get clear reflections

So basically the car got SIP with orange followed by 106fa with white pad. To maximize the protection on this easily oxidizing paint from the harsh sun that the desert environment of el paso provides I applied a coat of cg ezcreme with black pad, two coats of Blackfire Wet Diamond AFPP, and a coat of Dodo Juice Rubbish Boy's juiced edition wax.

No during shots but here are afters:
After SIP and 106FA checking the finish: (I walked around with my brinkman swirl finder looking for holograms)

notice gunk was cleaned from the taillights..
some rids remained but that was because i dont have a paint guage

muuuuch better clarity in the reflections lol

    Hope you enjoyed!

...JK I can't leave you w/o sun shots and lsp shots!!:applause2:

nice work. that thing was faded quite a bit and looked like a lot of waterspots, especially on the hood.
