Due to the fact we had snow every weekend in December up until recently, I haven't had many chances to clean my '09 GTI. The last time I washed it I put on a coat of Collinite 845, but that was nearly a month ago. Anyway, I know I've already posted a thread on my GTI but I just wanted to post up and show off what ONR can really do! It's been too cold to really wash a car outside, so I decided to give ONR a really thorough test on my filthy GTI, and do some cleaning on the interior as well. The ONR worked fantastic, I didn't notice any new marring and I will probably be the only one with a properly clean car when we go back to school tomorrow :afro:

Also, detailing works as an anti-depressant. I have been feeling awful the past few weeks due to some things that have going on, but I got outside with Harry Potter on audiobook to listen to and spent the afternoon cleaning my car and it really helped me feel better :) Speaking of making me feel better, I do believe I might be doing a Porsche soon...most of my clients drive vans and stuff so that will be my first really nice car (minus my parent's cars).

    Processes/products:

    Exterior:

ONR. The worst areas were pre-sprayed with ONR at quick detailer dilution, and then washed with ONR using a grit guard and the two bucket method. I also hit the wheels and wheel wells with ONR, just to get the worst of the stuff off.

    Interior:

    Vacuumed.
    Wipe-down with Megs APC 10:1
    Dressed with 303 Aerospace Protectant
Due to the sub-freezing temperatures I had to clean the floormats in the kitchen sink, once again with the Megs and dressed with 303

Pictures! My camera does weird things with the color red, sorry.

ONR is just one of them products you just can't live with out. Good job. I wanted to do mine today . But the rain spoiled them plans.

  5. ONR loves you too, but wonders if you have commitment issues since she has never met your parents...sorry, i just couldn't resist!

Nice job! This is another reason why I love the product. It's great being the only person at work with a clean car when it's "too cold" outside.

Car looks great. It's weird that 1 1/2 years ago I had never heard of ONR, can't live without it.

    nice work!

wait 'til you use it as a clay lube. I keep a big bottle on hand just for that reason alone!

Tornado red is amazing when clean, talk about blinding! ONR is the only thing I have used to keep my cars clean for the past 3 years and it has never let me down, no real marring to speak of and it has made washing cars so much easier.

  17. Marring would be related to technique (too much pressure, dirty wash media) and not related to to ONR itself. You will have excellent results if you have good technique. Also, I by no means mean that you have to be uber careful with ONR. If you take precautions with your traditional wash like 2BM and rinsing your media or changing to a clean media, you will have no more problems with marring than you already do with your current method.

ONR will work safely on anything except clinging mud. Bulky debris should be rinsed off first, but then you are good to go. As an added precaution when the car is very dirty, but not caked...just presoak the panels with ONR @ Detail Spray strength before washing.

I Used the ONR for the first time today; my car wasn't that dirty but the ONR did a good job. I used 2 buckets method with double Grit Guards in the rinsing bucket . It took me more time than the regular wash but I was happy at the end :applause:
