It got up to a balmy 7 C today (about 45 F) and I just had to wash the truck. We still have quite a bit of snow and my driveway is covered in ice, so no-go with the hose. I'm late in joining the party with ONR, but I was pretty impressed. This wasn't my full-blown spring wash, but what a treat to be outside again washing my vehicle. It was so easy I gave it a hit of OCW too. Awesome stuff, but the neighbours are questioning my sanity.
Looks great. Sometimes it's hard to bring your self to do the ONR if you haven't done it before...Good job...:thumb:
Looks good, we've had great weather this weekend as well :thumb: Glad to hear you enjoyed ONR, that's my go to washing method for the winter...well I first hit the coin wash to rinse off as much gunk of the vehicle first then it's in my garage for some ONR :cheerl:
I think just about all of have been there before with ONR. You ask yourself, "Self, am I really going to rub a wash mitt with this ONR stuff all over my car?" And, after you do it, you're pretty much an instant believer.
Nah! That thing looks too clean, it is obvious that you used a regular wash. (J/k) :thumb: ONR is awesome stuff! :headbang:
Thanks for the encouragement guys. Those mentioning instant belief and addition I think are bang on, I was skeptical but never used anything like it. A very rookie question though. I noticed my mitts got extremely dirty using this product. Do I need to machine wash them after every use or will the dirt stay encapsulated on the mitt for a few washes at least? Thanks.
IME, I would machine wash them to break the polymers that create that dirt encapsulation better. Again, just my experience
Yeah, in the winter the coin-op is really key prior to the ONR. I've been using ONR for 2 and a half years, and still refuse to use it on a salt coated car. It's nice stuff in the warmer months too when your car isn't too dirty and you just want to do a (relatively) easy clean up without a hose.
While my detailing needs are likely more utilitarian than most, I was exceedingly pleased with my 1st use of ONR which took place today. As outside temperatures reached ~50F - I no longer had an excuse to delay my initiation and WOW - in conjunction with a microfiber/chenille mitt, ONR at the recommended mix ratio did everything I expected and hoped for. A non-descript beige WW/MF came up with little if any left-over dirt at the end of each panel wash and a final follow-on treatment with DG 921 Fast Clean & Shine yielded virtually no artifacts - totally meeting, if not exceeding, expectations. ONR is fully worth ANYONE'S attention and consideration. No fuss - no muss. :mounty: I hope I got that right...
