I was fortunate enough to purchase one of these. It's a rare lens, and usually sells out the second stores have it in stock. The tsunami in Japan doesn't help either. It's incredibly sharp. For a while I was worried about not being satisfied with the quality of pictures I was snapping with my 50D, but it's all about the lenses... Enjoy...
Very little. Here you can see how it looked straight out of the camera, and after processing: Straight out of the camera: After processing:
I'm sorry, not really into photography but Damn! that is one nice boat, makes me want to jump into the monitor and rip it around open waters
Piet!! I'm jealous. I've been wanting one of these for a while!! I've rented one on 2 occasions. Wonderful lens. Tokina makes some nice equipment!! Congrats man!!!
how much was that lens? Those photo's are phenomenal man! I mean the red boat with the lights on at night fall just looks sick. You managed to capture everything pretty perfect without over exposing stuff. Would that lens work on a Nikon D5000?
Good photos! One word of advice when handling a wide angle lens, GET CLOSER!!! The idea of a wide angle is not to "get everything in", unless you are shooting landscape of course. But the idea of a wide angle is to get close and get creative aka GET ALL UP IN PEOPLE'S BUSINESS! It is an excellent lens and I'm sure you'll have lots and lots of fun with it!
