So if anyone could answer my problem or refer me to a forum thatd be great. I just hooked up 4 cadence 6.5's in my car to a 4 channel hifonics amp. when I turn it on everything works but even with the volume tuned all the way up it isnt loud at all. I know everythings hooked up right, the ground is good, I only used monster cable and rockford wires and cables, and even after turning the gain and HPF up it is still quiet and I cant figure it out.
could be you: shorted a wire when putting everything back together could be a bad amp if its a new head unit could be bad outputs if its factory head unit could be bad adapter go to Car Alarm, Car Stereo, Mobile Video, and Cruise Control Info for Installers or PM me or hit me up on AIM i managed and have been in the 12volt industry for 20+ years as well as detailing
Check the gain adjustment on the amp. Also see if there is a on/off setting for the outputs in the head unit menu.
Also look at your amp to how much power it can hold because if the speakers are going up they will need more power. and if the amp doesn't have the right power capability you will need a new one.
