My GTI + Sonax Video

hey guys. i took advantage of the great weather today and gave the GTI a bath and some different protection. i'll do a full spring cleanup when i have time. she was pretty dirty so i just foamed her down twice, did a two bucket wash, and protected with BF wet diamond. wheels got some werkstat AJT. also tried out the sonax wheel cleaner. i was surprised to find a good amount of bonded contamination on my cars paint, but i opted not to clay today as the finish is still pretty swirl free. i figured id rather not risk inducing any marring by claying untll i have the time to perform some light correction.

oh and i got an old tripod to use from now on. thank god...

Btw, is that a DD Uber Sponge cut in half you're using the clean the rim? I do the same exact thing!

It's funny to see how involved your gf was at the start of the pics and how bored she looked at the end of the photo shoot ... lol.

2 cases? how much is phil charging for a case of the stuff? yeah its a demoted Uber sponge. i use them on wheels.

thanks gianni. yeah she was all into it at first and then after like 3 hours she wasnt feeling it anymore...you should see her after spending the weekend with me during a 20+ hour correction.

hahahaha. ken, i honestly did try my best to get her to let me spray her down with the foam gun, but she just wasnt having it...i'll keep working on it.

 

I ordered mine from Sonax USA, 2 cases (12 bottles/6 liters) came out to $170 shipped. So it's a little over $14 a bottle and I can only do it once so when I'm done with those bottles I'll have to get them from Phil. Hopefully, Phil will have the 5L containers by then.

 

GTI is lookin good Billy, looks like the Sonax went to town on your wheels. Might have to pick me up some.

My 12 Sonax bottles came today, I can't wait to try this stuff out....it smells pretty nasty but the bottles and sprayers look awesome.

I thought that the Sonax Wheel Cleaner is supposed to come with a special foam brush??? Did you get one from Phil, billybloo?

Emile: while the spray pattern of the spray head is nice, i forgot to mention that i was a little displeased with the trigger. its a little too flimsy for my liking. feels almost like it might bend or soemthing. i dunno maybe it was just me. no i did not get any special brush or anything.
