Hey guys I did another detail and used the BH Auto Balm again. This is one of my regulars and it was time to do the winter full detail for him. He takes very good care of the truck since I did it the first time and I'm the only one he will let touch it or his other 2 vehicles. Anyway didn't need to do a full show and shine so I thought just some exterior before and after shots to show you what BH Auto Balm can do.

Now after getting some more advice from Ben @ Rubbish Boys on the application this went much easier than the last time. Word to the wise this is really a wipe on wipe off product. After applying to about a 2x2 section or half a panel I would wait no longer than 10 seconds and wipe it off. My application went much better this time too as I used a lot less product and put it on thin over the entire truck. I love how when you buff it off it just melts into the paint and there is absolutely NO RESIDUE or dust left behind. Only thing left behind is a deep rich shine. It has a little different look than most sealants and has more of a nuba look to me. I really like this product and glad Ben carries it.

Again the smell is straight up chemical so don't open it expecting a lot of fruity smells. Smell really doesn't affect me much so it a non issue with me but I wanted to mention it. I did a full detail on this truck 6 months ago and I did my DG 501/DG 601/DG 105 combo on it. You can see some of the beading that was still left after 6 months which I was quite impressed with.

I'm going to be anxious to see the durability of BH Auto Balm compared to the DG combo. I did my usual full detail and used the usual suspects for products. I did continue to use my favorite clay the Bilt Hamber (used the soft for this one). If you want to know anything specific that I used just ask and I'll post it up, otherwise here are the before and after pics:

I am really falling in love with this product much like I do every product that Ben carries and tells me to try out!

The truck looks great! Keep us updated on the durability. How did you like the soft clay compared to what we get here in the states.

I don't think you will regret it.

Oh yeah busy busy busy, but I'm having a blast staying busy.

My advice - If Ben recommends it buy it! He has not steered me wrong yet and I have been more than impressed with everything I have gotten from Ben.

    Thanks Nica!

Oh yeah its really working out. Application took a little getting used to but following Ben's advice really paid off.

You can be sure I'll keep everyone updated on the durability. I see this truck on a very regular basis so I have a couple of great barometers with this one and my Jeep that is wearing the Auto Balm. As far as the clay, its 1000x better than any clay foreign or domestic that I've used. Being able to use water as lube without clay degradation is an absolute godsend!

looks great - nice write up.

I've been using Auto Balm for 12 months now, and today did a full Bilt Hamber detail on my in-laws Rolls Royce Silver Shadow I. It has had AB on it for 10 months and was still showing protection :)

You havent mentioned the incredible filling/hiding properties of Auto Balm. NOTHING comes close for hiding swirls IMHO - the real reason I use it on this particular car, as the paint has been butchered previously by a hack with a rotary :(

Yes the clay is very easy to manipulate and I would compare it to Riccardo Clay. The beauty of it is the ability to use water as lube and it does a fantastic job as well. I would suggest you get one of each the Regular and the Soft.

Thanks DLR I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on the durability.

Hey its not a large container so it won't take up a ton of room, LOL. You really should put this on your "to try" list. Once you get the application down and don't put it on too thick its absolutely incredible. If durability is close to the claims I've heard then it will be the best!

Thanks DG 501. I think I did a mini review on one of my other show and shines. I'll have to look.

Thanks Buddy I think putting the before and afters right together really shows off how well the product did.

Thanks for chiming in Bigpikle! If I get anywhere close to that kind of durability I have a new favorite sealant! And you are correct about the hiding/filling capabilities. This is precisely the product many of my customers need because of it. There were some scratches on the tailgate and I watched in amazement as they just disappeared when I buffed off the Auto Balm.

I can't wait to try Autobalm that I just recieved from Ben (Thanks). My question is how well does this LSP release dirt, when washing the vehicle? Oh yeah, great review and reason for my purchase from Ben!!! :applause:

JL..the truck came out beautifully...it has a gorgeous glow for a sealant...it would be interesting to see if its durability could be improved by preceding it with dg 601?? how much is it? I don't know who Ben is..does it come from overseas?
