Evening! First of all, a bit THANK YOU to ShinySideUp for referring this customer to me. It was much appreciated! Where to begin! This is a gorgeous 2006 Ford GT with just a bit over 6K miles on it. It's been kept in very good shape, with only very very minor swirling visible in full sun. The customer and I agreed on a full Zaino protection package, with subsequent layering to be done over time. I arrived at about 11:30am and left at 18:30pm. The detail was challanging to say the least. There wasn't any good shade on the property, parked near trees that were shedding sap and dropping pollen everywhere and the hardest water EVER. The environment didn't make it easy on me! The customer was absolutely fantastic. When I got there, he met me outside and he is obviously is very proud of his vehicle. Told me the ins and the outs of the GT, the history behind it, the fact that his is pushing around 700hp currenty and it's going in soon for a twin turbo conversion etc. I had a cooler full of drinks waiting for me and when lunch time came around, he even offered to throw a steak on the grille for me!!! Anyways... 1) Vehicle foamed with CG Citrus Wash 'n Gloss 2) Washed with CG Citrus Wash 'n Gloss with two all white ShMITTs (two bucket) 3) Dried with two Sonus Der Wunder towels 4) Zaino Z1 5) Zaino Z5 6) Zaino Z2 - P21S Wheel Gel on wheels, detailed with P21S sponge and Swissvax brush - Wheels detailed with CG Pro Detailer - Stoners IG on all glass - PB Natural Look on tires - Inside was very clean, just a quick going over with 1Z Cockpit Premium - All plastic on the outside done with 1Z Cockpit Premium BEFORE ---------- What a machine!!! It's been chipped and the pulleys have been upgraded... Excellent BBS wheels! All business in here! Gotta love those 315s... Ready for her bath. AFTER -------- No flaws in the paint! Owner carefully checking the vehicle... Who is this loser??? Coming soon with TWIN TURBOS!!! Hope you enjoyed! :applause2:
Damn mate that is one fine job on one fine automobile! You do some incredible work and deserve to get cars like this for you to do your magic on! You get some major :thumb: on this one bro! Did you sit behind the wheel and make vroom vroom noises?
beautiful. i can only dream of doing cars like that. so i take it you have a zaino only protection deal? ive thought about doing that... but being that im just getting started im thinking it would be unpractical and a somewhat loss in money because i would be spending alot for the products, and i wouldnt have anyone to pay for the service...
Very nice vehicle :druling: such a gorgeous vehicle. I was expecting that paint job to have some swirls but no swirls, who did the corrections to it? Well done P1et :thumb: vehicle looks good. Oh and ShinySideUp way to go :applause:
Thanks!!! Let's just say that after I was done doing one of his other cars the next day, we went for an hour long drive in it!!! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!! I'm not going to go in too much detail, but the owner made it very clear that it's NOT a slow vehicle by ANY means!!!
Sweet job Piet I know you have been waiting to do this car And it turned out great! Can`t wait for pictures of the next one ooh, yeah!
Awesome Piet. haha I remember you telling me about this...and some other special cars. I am pretty excited. Awesome job on the GT. It looks great. Makes me want to order some Zaino! I also cant wait to see it once ithas some snails on it. I have only ever seen 1 turboed GT and that thing was making over 1000HP to the wheels IIRC.
wow.. for a sec i thought it was a mustang after reading the title.. you prove me wrong.. what a beast....and car looks amazing.. Zaino seems like a good match to the color...
Very nice job P1et. It's the first time I have seen you use Zaino. One of my neighbors has the exact same car/color combination. He broght new back in 06. A couple of days after he brought it I saw his youngest son walking on top of it. A while back the same kid dropped something on it while messing around in their garage and put a big dent in it.
Nice looking car Piet. Twin turbo coming next huh. Anyone here know if the guy will be able to keep the supercharger on there too? I haven't heard of a turbo supercharged car.
I'm curious, these vehicles have some wicked vents is water okay to get in there? I'm assuming it is but not 100% sure.
BEAUTIFUL!!!! Nice job!! I was on-site at the assembly plant where they built those in Wixom Michigan for about a year - it was very cool to watch
I'm posting it in a minute!!! Sorry, not a Porsche or Ferrari! The one I was telling you about is actually a Gulf Edition Ford GT, hopefully that one is coming soon! Thanks Phil! I wish I would have had your paint gauge, I would have looked like a PRO! Thanks!!! The Zaino did a great job. The car had some very minor swirls and the Z5 took beautiful care of them. Even in the full blazing sun I only had minor issues. I just need to convince the owner to get a CR system!!! When the GT is done after the twin turbo conversion, it'll be pushing 1,000 hopefully! Thanks! The Zaino did a great job, love that stuff... Thanks Gary! I've actually been using Zaino since about 2000. One my favorite products, just got carried away with trying everything else. But for high end details, I'll always reach for it because I'm familiar with the product and I know how to use it correctly. With cars like this, no room for error. It's funny you mention the dent: the door are aluminium. The owner was working in the garage and tossed a Powerade bottle across the garage and it bounced off the wall and hit the door: he dented it!!! He'll take the supercharger off and change it out to a twin turbo!!! Let me say that I was a little nervous at first! But the owner said it: don't be worried, it's just paint. Hahaha! Thanks for mentioning that: the owner told me that when I was washing it not to worry about the vents: water would come in there and I would just have to remember to clean it up when I was done detailing it. He was right, water everywhere!!! :headbang: :thumb:
