I did this for a another forum but figured I would post it here as well Hello Everyone, Before I start explaining this detail I would like to Justin and his parents for the hospitality they showed me this weekend, I want to thank you guys so much especially Justin who was always there when I needed him. This detail was carried out by myself which included a deep clean, total decontamination, 2 step correction, and multiple applications of sealants and waxes. This detail can affectionately be called the KEY-YO-MI OR THE JUST-IN DETAIL. I also want to thank Loose Cannon & N00bmiester for keeping us company for a couple of hours, I’m sure I made all of you guys bored. This is more like a short story so, if your not interested at this point go back NOW. Okay enough chatting let’s START THIS THING JUSTIN kept his car really clean for me to detail as you will now see So you guys get the idea, started with a pre rinse “MOM: Where are you, I need milk from the grocery store. Me: Mom I’m at a client’s house, detailing his car. I’ll be home tomorrow” Back to work. I usually focus on my work, but thanks Justin for taking this picture. Happy Detailer Moving onto the exhaust Foam Cannon Time Getting all into all the nooks and crannies of this car, Door Jambs, sunroof edges…. Justin’s dad watching us work Authentic Merino wool wash-mitt FTW, only the best for my clients Using a deironizing gel, to remove the iron particles stuck on Justin’s car. Remember this statement I’ll bring it up again I use a sponge to spread it around, before that though. I use a box cutter to grit lines into it. So that dirt particles that may still be present can sucked into their instead of rubbing onto the paint. Detailing on the cheap 101 Spreading the gel around Deironized Here I sprayed some tar remover, I mean industrial strength tar remover. So I wear a respiratory mask for safety. After that I use clay and clay lube to do a final decontamination on the car for what ever is left. You just have to gently glide it over the surface, GENTLY! “Huh, did you say something. Okay back to work” My Boi is impressed with the shine already, what more can I do to impress him? Trying to play doctor doctor (taking paint measurements of the car, you know how MUCH paint a Mazda has right) Polishing prep finally! Justin takes care of his car, so it was in good condition which means it’s very hard to take the pictures of defects. Also it was impossible to get a 50:50 shot, here are a few attempts though. This is the polish side, the right side Un-polished side, do you guys notice the difference. Here’s the polished side again Ohh wait, here’s a good one. Here’s the side of the hood, yes only a Mazda can we have a “side” of the hood. Damn sharp corners The eyebrows, because the smiley face wasn’t enough I took a break polishing, Loose Cannon wanted to rinse his car. Pfff Rinse, we detail here Bay Bee
Do you guys remember, the deironizing gel, well go back up if you don’t. I asked Loose Cannon if I could use his car as a demo to show you guys what I was talking about You, guys see those golden rust spots right. Watch this! The deironizing gel is getting to work and reacting with those iron particles to fully remove them. Pictures of me polishing The hood was done, finally. N00bmeister testing the reflection I think he said it passed Meanwhile, Justin was talking pictures of the hood because he thought the reflection was crazy cool I came back the next day to find some wax in s crevice under his wing mirror That had to go, so I safely removed it a tooth pick wrapped in a MF Left side polished Had to get the grease from the keyholes and around the handle as well Clean I also got the nail scratches from under the handle Here I’m inspecting my work by wiping away the polish residue Weird thing here is I didn’t know I had a bald spot Dirty Clean Some scratches were removed Gone Justin had to turn the car around so I took this opportunity to take some pictures Some more scratches Gone More 50:50 After the polishing was complete I rewashed it so I could get rid of the dust that was everywhere. After that as done, I focused on the exhaust. I polished and protected LSP of choice was Black Fire Wet Diamond All buffed off, the tires are white because my favorite tire gel needs to soak into the tire The reflection of the hood was crazy You know how it looks all nice outside well that’s just my camera I really don’t know how to work it. This is how it actually was Okay if you finished all that I want you give yourselves a big pat on the back, I’ll be back at Justin’s tomorrow putting on another layer and then taking some sunny time pictures Day 3 I started by giving a second treatment of sealant to the paint around Justin’s car everything except the hood and front bumper was treated. On the hood, I used a special wax I got from Bryan @ Concours Touch, I hand applied Yes hand applied it to the hood as seen below. Justin made me laugh because he thought I was crazy. He’s like “Why you messaging my car man, it’s weird” I said “Yeah it is” Here are some sun pictures we took

Great job man! Very good work. Kinda curious, since there are so many Mazdas in the pics. Did you show your work on the Mazda 3 forums or are these clients people you met at local Mazda meets? I'm thinking about doing this myself.
Yes sir, I actually love the look of these cars. I just started sponsoring a local Mazda 3 forum and I hope it will pay off.
