Mark-V Products

I've been using these for some time now. Their line of polishes have replaced most others in our shop, but I'm also finding them to out do most of the boutique products I use on my own cars. I call by the sales counter at their factory, but I found that they have a website that you can order retail stuff from, I'd recommend taking a look. mark-v-online.com

Few products I'd recommend would be Very Cherry shampoo, Window Sheen glass cleaner ( best I've used ) and Dazzle creme wax, which gives a great warm glow to the paint. I picked up a tin of their paste wax on Friday but have yet to try it.

Another bonus for me is the great customer service I get from them, both at the shop and at their counter

 

I tried the very cherry, fast wax, and california dressing and liked them very much.

Didn't see the very cherry shampoo in the gallon size on this site though

 

I get the impression the website is only for 16oz. We buy the Very Cherry off the truck in 5 gal buckets, maybe worth a call to find your local guy

 

Ben (Rubbish Boy) carries and likes this line. I've never tried any of it.

Has anyone used Mystique? It's a polish, I guess, although they use terms like "glaze" and "abrasives" in the same paragraph. The claim is that you can use any pad, from wool to finishing foam, with a single compound. Anybody ever tried it?

EDIT: Found some older threads talking about Mystique. Sounds promising.

I have used Mark V's Paste wax. It is called Coachwax. Very easy to work with and gives a very nice shine and good durability. Also have used there product called IP 200. Very easy to work with and the results are awesome. I look forward to trying more of there products. Just wanted to share my thoughts on these two products that I have used.

 

The only Mark V product I have tried has been the Very Cherry soap and I was quite pleased with it. Not sure how it compares to Majestic Solutions Ultra Gloss. Wish I had more of the Very Cherry to do this comparison, however the Mark V seems to be considerably more expensive.

 

I've used the UNO and think it's a great product. The terminology on their site is confusing and needs to changed. As to the UNO, takes out heavier scratches with wool and finishes up nicely with a foam pad. Very easy to work with, low/no dust and not temperamental with humidity or temperature. Per the factory, UNO is slightly more aggressive than Mystique but they both finish down about the same. I picked up both on ebay in 32oz.

 

We use both the Uno and Mystique, both are similar to use but the Uno does cut a little quicker. I think the Mystique may have a slightly longer work time, but both products finish incredibly well. We would typically use the following steps

1) Uno and a wool cutting pad to remove scratches/color sanding marks at about 1400rpm

2) Uno and a firm foam pad to remove swirls left by wool pad, 1400rpm. I think the biggest difference between the two products is that you could almost go from step 1 straight to step 3 when using Uno, as it finishes very well with the wool pad.

3) Uno and finishing foam pad to refine finish, 1000 - 1200rpm

4) Coat of Mark-Vs Hand Glaze

 

i've tried a few things from them and they weren't bad. it's nice that their warehouse is only 15 minutes away from me...

 

i live like 5 minutes away but ive never went there i heard they dont even have a showroom is that true?

 

if you enter the front it will bring you to the office. go to the side of the building and there is a door, walk in and ring the doorbell and they'll let you in (unless it's already open), where there is a little room to your right where all the supplies are for sale (someone should greet you and give you a catalog and maybe some samples). i was able to get a little glimpse inside where they have the huuuge plastic barrels with the deonized water they use for their products, manufacturing and packing of their products (they private label to mercedes, etc), and so forth. there were some mobile detailers there buying water (among other things) the last time i was there also...

 

Yeah just go round the side of the building, I've always found the guys there to be pretty helpful. I called in yesterday and picked up some of their fallout remover. I want to give it a go before I try their paste wax this weekend, if the rain stops. I'll put up a review when I'm done

call them. btw... i've used their auto glow wash n' wax car wash and it's pretty good...

Mark V Professional Detailing Systems

 

Yeah, I've ordered over the phone beofre, but its been a while. I have used a couple of their products and liked them.

 

I picked up some of the Mark-V fallout remover last week, finally got to give it a go yesterday. My sons Honda suffers from rail dust, clay does a good job but the little rust pits soon come back so I've been meaning to do this for some time.
I washed the vehicle as normal, then applied the product with an old wash mitt. The guy at the factory told me leave it dwell for up to 20 mins, but not to let it dry out, so following his advice I continually worked my way around dipping the mitt into the solution and then re-wetting the surface. I guess I did it for about 10-12 minutes, by then I was happy that the rail dust was gone. All that was left to do was a final rinse with water. I've used other fallout removers in the past but this is the first one that didn't require neutralizing or re washing with shampoo after use. It actually rinsed away very easily, and after drying the paint and glass were super smooth. Big thumbs up for this product.

My favorite finishing product for a while now has been FK1000, but as usual I saw something I didn't have and decided to give their paste wax a try. Again, very easy to use, went on easy, came off easy. In fact I think probably easier to remove than the FK1000, and a slightly wetter looking finish than the Finish Kare product. I look forward to testing the durability in the coming weeks/months.

I realise now that I should have taken some photos to go with this. Have to do that next time.
Anyway, these are 2 products I'd happily recommend.

We use mostly Mark-V products in our shop for cleaning, like degreasers, wheel cleaners, carpet shampoo, window cleaner, etc. Their chemicals are very good quality, and highly diluteable. Unfortunately, their polishes and waxes aren't comparable to boutique type products.

Really? Which polishes have you tried, their MV350 and Uno are both better than anything else I've tried.
