Has anyone here used the product. Sure I saw the "Jesus" comparison but I really find it hard to believe just one or two people. How is the work time, dusting, and general product use?

If you bought it, do you think it was worth it for you??

As much as love the latest detailing craze M101 blew up and it has been quite quiet for now. Overhyped? Or ohh shiii it works brilliantly?

I lost all interest when I found out it was $75 for a QUART... Are you fking kidding me? For that amount of money it better do the polishing for me and serve me cold beers.

I would say it's really for those who do a ton of high-end correction work. It is better, but not really significantly so IMO that's it's worth the money for someone who isn't doing major paint corrections that often. M105 does 85% of what 101 does. If you're doing a lot of correction work it's hands down worth the price.

it is an incredible product, nothing i have ever used cuts anywhere near what m101 does, and on top of that if finishes down amazingly. the reason the hype has slowed down is becuase everyone is out of it. lol. i only got 8oz of it and I was trying to make it last as long as possible. i am officially out and havn't been able to pick up any more. hopefully other companies will get some and come out with an equal product that isn't $75 a quart.

Yes its a great product. If you do a lot of correction work, it should be in your aresenal. I don't use it straight however. Kevin Brown had me try just adding a drop to 105 or D300, whichever I was using, to act like a polish booster if you will. On MOST paints, it will cut faster and harder than 105 which can be the difference between making 1 pass or multiple passes. I have had it mar the crap out of some softer paints as well.I think we have to get past this price thing. Fine, if you are just an enthusiast, it's expensive. However, if you are detailing for money, its quite reasonable. Look at it this way. I charge $300-$400 for every time I go around a car with a polisher. Each time around uses approx 3-4oz. That means I get 4-5 polishing steps per bottle. That means I just turned a $75 bottle of polish into anywhere between $1200 and $2000 depending on what I am working on. Worst case scenario thats a 1400% return on my investment. Just sayin....

3-4oz a pass? Whats your definition of a pass. You do multiple passes on a vehicle. Ken your confusing me here :shead:

I should clarify. 3-4oz every time I go around a car. A one step correction would use 3-4oz of product. Two times around the car would use 6-8oz etc. I edited my post to be more explanatory. My apologies for the confusion.

I do this for $ so I can justify the cost.... I am very glad I have it in my supplies since every job I do is correction.

I agree for an enthusiast, it might be expensive as well as having other tools in the arsenal.

    Good info to know Bob.

I was able to purchase 4oz for $12.

Ken just think what your ROI would be if you used just two drops on the pad for up to two passes with a squirt of DI water, 3-40z is ALOT of M101 the heavy concentration of abrasives allow "More for less". :giggle: BTW M101 is a "Mingfree" product....................always.

101's amazing. A serious time saver when dealing with trashed paint. Agree
with Bob's less is more/more is less statement. I've gotten something like 8-10 cars out of
8oz of 101 (using it most as a booster in a mix of 105/300), and at least 2 of
those cars were pretty 101 heavy. And I've still got an oz or two left in my 8oz
    bottle.

I actually use 1 drop with one or two drops of D300 per pass. The 3-4oz per trip round the car was for ease of math! LOL I don't have the time to figure out how many drops per oz.

I have a couple of bottles of 101 but I also do this full time and that is the justification.
Have not had anything that bad to correct since I bought the 32oz'ers, but have tried a little of it in door cups where people scratch the paint with their nails, and it works great but so does 105 there too
    .
I am currently staring at a 2001 Z3 Roadster, Jet Black, Black top, 99k miles, sat under a car cover outside for a few years on an Island close by, and it is covered in brown mold. :( It has been on the horizontal panels so long that it has etched into the paintwork. Medium Clay does not remove it, but does smooth it out. I might try 101 with something else to see what happens.

Not a lot of paint either, and some real Hack has totally swirled and hologrammed the entire vehicle. The hack-job is the least of my challenge.. I hate it when "drunk-Clowns-on-Crack-with-Buffers" get loose up here !
