I am torn between buying one of the two and as much as I want both I gotta hold off and get 1 as of now. Would be used for all color cars so that plays a factor. Please convince me one way or the other
Honestly I would take CGs Pete's 53 over either of them. I have used all three and although all are great waxes I would give the nod to Pete's 53.
I have Lusso Oro that I haven't tried yet, Pete's 53, and 5050. Both Pete's 53 and 5050 are very nice waxes, I really like both. I haven't seen 5050 beading action on my car yet, but that's what I like Pete's 53 for. If you use Jetseal 109 underneath both will produce stunning results. You can even get both...As far as Lusso, again, I still have to try it. Another wax I seen awesome results from is Blackfire Midnight Sun batch #24.
Lusso Oro is pretty nice. i use it as my all purpose LSP on "regular" jobs. ive found i have to apply it panel by panel though. by this i mean i apply it to a panel and then buff off, then do the next panel. first time i used it i applied to a whole car and gave it like 20 minute cure time. it was a little difficult to buff off to say the least...
Chas, Have you bought anything yet? I have all three up for sale as samples if you'd like to try them before you buy: http://www.detailingbliss.com/forum/f50/daves4s-sample-sale-part-1-a-9720.html
I use 50/50 as my every detail wax. I find it extremely easy to apply and remove. I have not tried the other two. But they are on my list.
In reference to CG's 50/50, I tried it once to date on my daily driver '05 Taurus. I didn't see a real difference in appearance, as compared to my prior application of CG's M-Seal (i.e. intensity of the shine). In the Arizona Beige pain on my Taurus, the main thing I noticed was that it increased/intensified the contrast characteristic of the color (i.e. the brighter areas were nice and bright, while the darker areas were a little darker) Almost as if the paint was more 2-dimensional, kinda like a B&W photo in comparision to a full color photo. This was noticeable to me when at a small- greater distance from the vehicle. Don't know if that makes sense, but it was kind of a cool observation I thought.
