well decided to get point and shoot camera for my bday to carry around with me and one that can shoot hd videos. as much as i dont like sony as company their HX5 camera seems to have all i want full HD video 1920x1080i (will be good for doing detail videos) 10mp 25mm wide angle lens with 10x optical zoom 3" lcd (but only 230K resolution but i can live with it) DSC-HX5V/B | Cyber-shot® Digital Camera HX5V/B | Sony | Sony Style USA also considered Samsung TL500 / EX1 Samsung HZ30W Pannasonic DMC-ZX3, DMC-ZS3
Nikon and Canon make great cameras, some good P&S cameras to be had from those two cameras. I gotta tell you though, if you're planning on taking pictures of cars and their reflections, you're much better off with an entry-level photography camera like an SLR, because P&S just isn't gonna cut it.
I had a cpl of Panasonic cameras that I really liked. The TZ5 shot hd video (720p) and was a very cool camera.
i get very good quality pics from my sony P&S ill post up the model later. its probably 4to 5 years old but it takes great pics
my main concern is high def video and sony thats coming out only one that has it. all other like nikon are way too big (slr-like) or cost way too much. this sony is perfect pretty much. if it had hi res video screen it would be great but i can live iwth this one
